I own an old Steyr SPP (a civilian version of the military TMP), which I bought in the early nineties. Until recently it was not equipped with a scope because I have been saving money for a really good night vision scope. In the interim I decided to try one of those red dot sights I had no experience with. This is why I got this rather modestly priced red dot scope. I heard from somebody that Cyelee was a manufacturer good for testing this technology. My first impression of the product was very good – it showed quality craftsmanship, polished, did not convey a feeling of a cheap product. An additional benefit was the included co-witness riser which (if installed) allowed the use of the original low sights on the gun or the red dot scope simply by moving the line of sight of your eye. The mounts of both units fit the Picatinny rails on the top of my gun. Using a laser bore sighting tool I sighted the red dot at 20 yards. I was ready for a test at a range. This is where I was surprised the most. After a series of three shots I had to adjust for the windage (you know, even the laser bore sighting tools are not ideal). From this point on, shooting from the rest, all shots hit very close to the center of the target. I was very satisfied with the results. I now understand why the red dot scopes are so popular among shooters. They are big fun!

I’ve always wanted a better sight for my rifle and finally picked one out. Relieved when it arrived and came with batteries so I could get right to testing. Target light is bright even in direct sunlight. I’m torn whether I like the single dot or the target ring better. I may update as I get more lead down range and I come to a decision.

Already owned a Cyelee Bull x Pro, and wanted a rifle optic I love their tighter MOA ring than that of Holosun and Eotech, (30 vs 65). Reticle is very clear and crisp, and I have astigmatism. ~1200 rounds and no zero shift at this point. Has with stood bump and drops etc. Everyone who shoots it loves it, but when I tell them the brand and price point their mood shifts since it shilled by their favorite guntubers.
Do buy a new battery with it, the included one is a generic brand, and will die after 4-5 months, but I can’t fault them for that.
