   First the negative. The scope from Sfeoot includes hardware that allows it to be mounted to a tripod. The mounting attached to the scope is stable and good. The included tripod is made to be super compact with thin u shaped metal legs that hinge at the top. There is nothing that makes the tripod legs stay in or out. They just flop around ….until it is set up on a flat surface. It works well once it is solid and stable, that is the only place we found the tripod to be useful. The scope has a universal mount that can be used on a compact camera / camcorder tripod or a full sized tripod. The scope can even be mounted onto a sports camera mount that would allow it to be used in places more suited to being outdoors. The scope. The price at the time of this review is $71.99. This scope is easy to focus and has good distance. My husband really likes this scope and says that sitting at the table as pictured, he can focus and see our camper tag at 50 yards away and read the expiration date of the renewal sticker and see the serial number on the sticker…. but not quite clear enough to know he is getting it right. Walking out to our camper, I found that from 3 ft away I could not read any part the serial number because it is a type font of about 9. He can see this at 50 yards ( 150 ft or 15 + meters ). He did say if he was trying to use the included tripod on an unlevel or unstable surface the clarity above would not be possible. I understand the seller is trying to offer a complete product but the scope is brought down by the tripod. Based on the details above, my rating is 4 Stars.

   Use it as a spare for my truck and have used it in season no problem. Build is sturdy with decent light clarity especially if you do not max it out. For the price it actually is quite nice.

   This is a good quality, budget priced spotting scope. It functions well with my phone. It is solidly made and seems durable.

   It is made of plastic and is completely covered with a rubberized material. It is lightweight but seems very durable.

   The lenses are very clear and crisp and come with covers for both lenses. The focus and zoom dials are smooth and turn well.

   The small tripod is thin metal with rubberized feet that works well with the spotting scope. It also comes with a carrying case for the spotting scope.

   This is the only spotting scope that I’ve handled, so keep that in mind. But with that said, this seems like a nice set to me. It comes in a decent nylon bag with a tripod. It mounts up well to the tripod, which functions as it should. I was a bit mystified playing with the controls at first, but after reading the instructions – just a quick primer to label the various parts along with a short step-by-step of what to do and in what order – it’s actually very simple to use, and brings into focus things at a distance and of a size for which one would use a spotting scope – birds, targets, etc. About the only thing I can say against it is that, while the rubber cover over the large lens is attached to the body of the unit, the one over the small (looking) end is not captive. Otherwise, I think this will be a very useful addition to our shooting gear.

   I am not a hunter, but have always wanted a spotting scope to use while we are out in nature. This scope is easy to use and works great. The cheap tripod that comes with it is useless though. Being along a better stand especially if you want to use the cell phone adapter. You have to be perfectly still and stable. Very good quality of materials used and a handy carrying bag as well.

   Overall, it’s pretty nice quality spotting scope. It has the same issues that most cheap scopes have with little to know eye relief, and minimum zoom. I like the phone holder that came with and used it exclusively with an old cell phone to be able to glance at it. The basic tripod it comes with is everything you need to set it on a bench it’s sturdy and easy to get on target. Out to 100 yards this worked perfectly. It was easy to see the holes in the target even using the cell phone. At 200 yards, even with the phone zoomed in, it was difficult to see holes. Overall, it’s a pretty good value just don’t expect to go out to 500 yards with it.
