   First impression this thing is awesome the green circle dot is crisp with no starburst effect like some red dots I have it gets very bright I used it outside in the sun and didn’t even have to use the highest settings mounted on a dagger and sighted it in took about six rounds to zero the windage was prefect only had to adjust the elevation a few click up to have it zeroed shot another 150 rounds of 9mm and it stayed zero I would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget optic this is my second zulisy optic and no complaints so far

   I mounted it, torqued it on proper. I added witness marks. Screws didn’t back out, that’s a plus. Sight did not hold zero after 200 rounds of 124gr through my Masada. Had to adjust it. I’ll throw some more rounds through it this week, to see if it might stay on the gun, or if I’ll have to get a Cyelee.

   I already have the plain dot version of this sight that is nearly identical to this model, although it does not have the circle around the dot or the raised backup nubs that can act as iron sights. When I decided to get another sight, I was pleased enough with this brand that I ordered their circle dot version. I find circle dots easier to acquire while I’m still learning to transition from irons on my pistols. This is a well thought out Mini Green Dot sight. It has the RMR footprint and is similar in size to the Holosun 407C but not the micro sized 407k. Pros: – Tough and durable aluminum construction throughout the housing but it is very lightweight. It weighs only 1.5-ounces with the battery installed, and 2.6-ounces with the Picatinny Mount – It is relatively easy to adjust for windage and elevation, but a flathead screwdriver is required. – There are two buttons on the unit, on the left and right sides. You must depress and hold either button to increase or decrease the amount of illumination. You can also turn it off from any brightness setting by depressing the minus button. – The unit has an IPX7 waterproof rating, so it can be used in the rain and even accidentally dropped into water. – It has a memory function, so when you turn on the unit from any particular brightness setting, it will turn on to the last brightness setting at which you used it. – The MOTAC “shake-Awake” feature works as advertised. It auto-turns off after five minutes if there is no motion, in order to conserve battery power but it comes on instantly with the slightest movement. Note that the unit must be turned on initially for this feature to work. – It comes with a picatinny rail mount, screws of different sizes to accommodate most slides, screwdrivers, and one tiny CR1632 battery. – There are raised nubs that can be used as sight lines at the rear of the sight that can act as a backup iron sight in case the electronics fail. – The best part of all is that you can replace the battery without having to remove the sight from the firearm. Granted, it is not a slide out tray like more expensive models and it requires a Torx screwdriver head to open the battery compartment, but it is far superior to the models that have the battery underneath the unit. Cons: – There is no solar backup mode. If the battery dies, the unit will not illuminate. – It doesn’t come with a soft malleable dustcover like my other Zulisky. – There aren’t any Night Vision (NV) settings. Despite my nitpicks, you are getting a well-designed unit for a fraction of the price of comparable models that are similarly featured, and I really like the bright green circle dot that I find easier to see than a plain dot or red colored dot.

   I run a gun school in Los Angeles, CA and I bought this as an experiment to see if an extremely inexpensive sight could be a viable option for clients. I plut it on a Rost Martin 9mm, which is also an inexpensive handgun, making for an alternative combo to that of much more expensive options. This thing works perfect! Is holding zero now through 5 different clients (about 500 rounds, give or take.) It has absolutely met my expectations. And it is a green dot to boot!

   The reticle is easy to find and the brightness setting lets you adjust it to see in any lighting conditions from a dark indoor range to full summer sun. The green is very vibrant and pops out even over a green background. I have red-green color blindness and this works so much better for me than my friends red dot. I’ve shot about 500 rounds of 9mm with this on my G17 and I haven’t had to adjust the zero at all. It works great.
