   Wasted 3 boxes of ammo trying to sight this scope in, first box it was adjusting but in very small incremens, got back to my desired distance and by box 2 i had it on. Shot it again a week later and it wasn’t even on paper at 30 yards and the turrets would not adjust at all. The gun had not been fired since and had not been thrown around or bumped, this scope simply fell apart. Terrible quality

   The site actually has pretty clear glass and a bright picture site. The fiber optic strip does a really good job of lighting up the arrow reticle even in low light conditions. From the beginning it always seemed to me like the crosshairs were slightly off in the picture window to the right side. But when I zero the scope to the rifle it always hit Target so I just got used to it. After about 800 to 1000 rounds a little black triangle appeared on the left side of the site when looking through it. Not sure if I should try to send it back or just take it apart and try to fix it. Obviously isn’t the quality of a $2,000 acog but it did pretty well on an AR for about a thousand rounds.

   In the past, I’ve seen these Acog clones over and over, and having a lot of experience with the real thing as an infantryman, and owning one personally, I’ve always believed that the clones will always fall very short. This clone actually comes pretty close. The glass is very clear, and the fiber optic line soaks up the perfect amount of light, and the body is very well constructed. Side by side comparison reveals this clone is missing the windage and elevation cap cables (I really don’t care about this one, all they do is keep Joes from losing them on the field), and the field of view is slightly narrower. Only other difference I can reasonably mention is that this optic obviously has no tritium, and the reticle will not glow in dark conditions, which isn’t a terrible thing anyway. Side by side pictures attached and will follow up with a zero stress test on my Galil. Four stars for now for the good construction.

   This product, as derivative and foreign-produced as it is, nonetheless provides stellar performance for the price. For 7% of the price of a Trijicon TA31, you get probably 80% of the features/value. No, there’s no tritium in there, so it relies solely on the fiber to light the chevron reticle, ranged exactly like the TA31. The glass is passable for the approx. 32mm objective, but you won’t mistake it for Trijicon glass. For $70, I’m over the moon with the glass. Straightforward controls, holds zero on my AR without incident. Don’t try to pass it off as an ACOG, because it isn’t. It is a high performing clone that performs as advertised, which is good enough to make it a highly useful gunsight.

   BLUF: The Crushunt 4×32 ACOG clone is a good value for what it is, though would not recommend for use on an intended defense weapon. Summary: A year ago, I purchased the Crushunt 4×32 for use on my airsoft rifle as a stand-in for my Trijicon ACOG on my real steel rifle. My intent was to create an airsoft version of my real steel firearms, to include as close to the same optics as possible without breaking the bank or losing my zero on my real steel. Pros: As you can see from the photos, the Crushunt has darker glass and is slightly less clear, though it has a much larger reticle (note that the Trijicon photo has electrical tape over its fiber optic to dull the reticle, so it may not be the most fair photo comparison; but trust me, the Trijicon optic is significantly smaller). The reticle really helps, even in airsoft, as a means to float the BBs from a mildot, as opposed to a holographic sight without elevation markers. The large reticle also helps with acquisition and, even in low light (dusk), I’ve never had an issue finding the reticle (though it must be noted that, despite its claim, it does fog up and I had issues with it during a humid north Texas rainstorm). Additionally, the magnification seems to be spot on, which is what I was mostly concerned about when purchasing the clone optic. The magnification is perfect for target acquisition and spotting; even to the point where I primarily used it during an airsoft op over the spotting scope that I brought. As such, I would highly recommend the Crushunt 4×32 for airsofters who want to reach out, but don’t want a larger than necessary optic (such as a DMR, rather than a sniper). Cons: Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this optic for real steel shooters. First, the eye relief is very difficult, which is even more amplified by the fact that it’s mimicking an excellent optic which is already known to have horrible eye relief. It was exponentially more difficult to capture the photo of the clone than that of the original Trijicon. Secondly, the clone does not stand up against the “proper” use of a scope at close range. Without going too much into it, the Trijicon ACOG is designed to be operated both, at distance and close range, with both eyes opened. When a shooter lifts the Trijicon up to their eyes, with both eyes opened, one needs only see the red “carrot” on a point and that is the point of aim – with the clone, utilizing this same procedure, the point of aim is extremely off the mark. While playing airsoft, I instinctively used this procedure on an enemy target a mere ten feet from me and drastically missed, to both my, and the enemy’s, confusion. During testing in my house, aiming at a light socket just five feet from the clone optic, the point of aim was a good foot high and to the left than where the point of impact would be – I confirmed this by closing my non-dominant eye. So, when using two eyes open, at close range, the optic points high and left, forcing the point of impact to be low and to the right, by a lot. Therefore, this optic does not do well in a CQB environment, as it is not that the optic is not zeroed properly, it’s that it is not designed to the same specifications as the Trijicon for such a purpose (I also confirmed this by having other veterans test this theory with the same results)(I hope I explained this well enough for you, the reader, to understand my point). Summation: If you are just looking to plink, this may be fine (not sure how it would hold zero), but for a defensive optic, where your life may be on the line, I cannot, in good faith, recommend. Please do not get my review twisted, it is an excellent airsoft optic for medium-to-long range engagements. I recently moved from a city with a small indoor arena to a city with large open fields, so I have reattached this optic and plan on running it permanently for the foreseeable future. I truly believe that, for it’s price point, this optic works great for its design and purpose, but you get what you pay for. If you purchase this optic for what, I believe, it is designed for, you will have a good time – however, if you purchase this optic expecting Trijicon level performance, you’re going to have a bad time.
