   I was disappointed. It worked without issue on the rear sight but not so much on the front sight. When pressure was applied the “pusher” part deflected upward which put more cantilever force on the blade (since it moved further up, away from where it attached to the dovetail part) and more susceptible to snapping the blade off. I had to keep adjusting the height to keep the pusher as low on the blade as possible. That issue was true for both removal and installation, but it I got the job done.

   After using another brand that had great reviews that I could never get to even budge a rear sight without the slide slipping , I decided to try this sight pusher. I was replacing the rear sight on an FN Five Seven Mk II which are notorious for being difficult. It was easy to set up my slide in the pusher which has adjustable supports on three sides and while I needed an extension bar to get enough leverage to move the sight, it removed and reinstalled the sight just fine. Very well made and solid. The spare pusher screw was missing from the box so I contacted aspireartisans customer service via email. After a little glitch they contacted me quickly and gave me the specs of the screw ( M4x12mm ) which I got online quickly rather than waiting for a mail package from China.

   Moving sights requires a solid, well-designed tool, and this Aspireartisans sight pusher fits into that category. Set up is pretty simple and intuitive. You will need to remove your slide to use this pusher, but that’s pretty standard. As designed, this sight pusher should work with most of the handguns on the market. Remove the two large nuts, take off the upper plate, set your slide in between the adjustable side supports, replace the top plate, and adjust. The actual sight pushing plate on the end is reversible, depending on the design of your sights, with the removal of the central screw. An Allen wrench is provided to enable that change, along with an extra screw. If you have a fine finish on your slide, you may want to wrap it in something protective, but I didn’t find the holding screws caused any issues with the finish on my polymer handgun slide. I liked the graduated markings on the adjustment side of the top and bottom plates, but there is one caveat: as you begin to load up the tool, the pusher plate will move some before it actually begins to push the sight. So take your measurement after the tool is tightened up and under load, but before it actually begins to move the sight. The large handle gives a lot of leverage, but if you need more the instructions indicate you can use a “cheater bar” for additional leverage. A great tool and definitely something you’ll want to have for windage adjustment on dovetailed sights.

   I wish I had one of these years ago. This pusher works great. I’ve only had it a couple days, and I’ve already taken off rear sights on my beretta, and installed a new base for an optic. You can also adjust factory sights, with ease.
