   I know the review title might seem a little contradicting, but this item is in fact a low budget optic, that is a bit overpriced in my opinion, and does work as advertised. The problem is that this item doesn’t offer anything more than what other similar optics do, while being priced a lot higher. This particular optic has okay clarity, but is very bulky with the design that they used. Overall, okay for practice or plinking, but I wouldn’t depend on it.

   Under the top foam they put the battery, instructions and cleaning cloth. The instructions are of little use. It took me a while to figure out how to turn off the Reticle. First the laser is bright and so is the reticle. You can adjust both so you’re sighted in. The issue I had is the button markings are backwards. The down arrow is to turn on the Reticle and make it brighter. The up arrow is to make it dimmer and to turn off the reticle. As many times as you push the down arrow button (up to 8 times) you will need to do the same on the up arrow to turn the reticle off. Next the caps are used to adjust the reticle sight which is a handy feature. Lastly the focus ring. It would appear that the + & – ring would move and then the “O” would let you know you’re back to zero, but that ring is fake. It does nothing. Only the outer rings is the focus.

   This scope (and laser) is a big beast, but it actually works quite well despite it’s large size. Easy to mount and easy to use, including powering on & off. Optics are clear and bright and it is easy to zero and maintain it. Several trips to the range and it has shown no signs of wear or needing adjustments. Only wish was that it was just a tad less bulky, but it works amazingly for what it is!

   The optics are fairly clear, little distortion. This is a relatively inexpensive scope with laser. Fairly lightweight. Numerous brightness levels. All the standard Gary’s of a tousled scope. What I didn’t like is the fixed riser. It is not possible to switch out for a lower profile riser if so desired. You are stuck with the cantilever they provided.

   I had high hopes for this scope and while it is definitely a solid scope with some nice features, it doesn’t work particularly well with my preferred setup on a tactical rifle. The main issue I ran into is that there is not enough eye relief for my liking. Even when I tried to mount it directly over my rear sight, abandoning any hope for a co-witness setup, with the stock fully extended it just wasn’t there. I collapsed the stock, uncomfortably for me, close and was able to get a full site picture. As you can see in this position it didn’t quite clear the rear sight anyway, but to get this to potentially work, I have to take off the rear sight and still, with the stock extended and the eye relief dialed all the way out, it was workable. I know a lot of people don’t even bother with iron sights anymore, so if this isn’t a consideration for you, this scope is probably an excellent choice. If you like to get up close with your optics, again, this scope will probably be perfect for you. On the other hand, if you like long eye relief on tactical scopes, the ability to co-witness if needed, you’ll likely want to look elsewhere.

   So the product may be a bit overpriced but in the question of does it work yes it does. There is seven brightness levels to adjust and the optics work well. This segment is very competitive but this seems to do okay.

   I thought I was going to get a really good scope. I did not.

   What I received is an overly complex device with too many functions and too much weight. The scope is low quality. This would be good for someone wanting to look cool. It is not what I want.
