   This will not stand up by itself because the feet rotate out of the way and it falls down. I’m going to have to either weld the base solid or throw in a simple bracket and a bunch of screws. Also the vertical pieces kind of butt together not straight. All in all the plates go in easy and flip from 1 side to the other and seem of good quality.

   I find that I have become a better shot since getting this AR500 Dueling Tree Target Kit.

   Sure, like everyone else I used to throw the cans on the ground and try and shoot them but this has been great being a stationary target with 6 surfaces at varying heights to shoot at.

   The metal targets are fairly small, about 4″ square but I find at 30 yards I get a good feel of my round and I like the challenge.

   I really have wanted to use it much more but the freeze has set in so that will have to wait for awhile. Overall the metal is holding up well though and that is putting about 60 rounds of 9mm to the targets so far.
   As for now, I could not be more satisfied with it and it is heavy enough to where it stays put.

   I am really looking forward to using this shooting tree. It was easy to assemble and the plates move freely back and forth. I feel it is a little short or low. I plan to buy some 1.5′ angle iron and raise it up 2 feet. I think this would be a better height and make it less likely to have a ground ricochet from shooting the lowest plates. It stands about 4 feet high as is. I think 6 feet would be a better height, with the plates beginning at 2 feet and rising to 6 feet. The assembly was easy and straight forward. All the pieces fit well. I like that you can easily disassemble it for storage or transport. It seems to be plenty sturdy and the included stakes should help prevent it from moving at all.

   The target is simple and well made. I do appreciate the targets are angled down to prevent spalling from coming back at you. Assembly is simple but the little stamped wrench it comes with is junk and will bend. Just use a standard wrench and it assembles nice and tight. The stand has performed well so far and I have had no issues shooting with 9mm.

   I ordered this dueling tree to add to my backyard range. The dueling tree was easy to build. The steel is holding up well so far against handguns calibers and 22. I haven’t tried shooting it with any center fire rifle calibers but based on the steel it should hold up. The strange thing to me is the way the assembly and pictures show this put together. I ended up flipping the targets around so the v shape points toward the shooter. Flipping the targets around has made it so the 22 bullets fragment and end up going into the ground nearly straight down from the targets. This target is fun to use and seems like a good value.
