I hung 1/2” AR500 steel target on hillside 110 yards away, and they worked well with. 308. The paint has chiped off a bit, but the inside still good. As long as it is repainted, it will become a new one.
Neon orange can be easily aimed, and sound feedback of hitting a metal target can easily indicate whether it has been hit.

AR-500 gong, a chain to hang it from a target hanger, and you are in business. Primarily for handgun shooting, but will take long gun rounds at 100 yards or more. Nice loud hit sound and a very visible “splash” on its face.

This is a nice 3/8” thick target. It isn’t really rated for higher calibers but plenty thick for handgun rounds. The cut edges are precise and the coating is very even and nice. It comes with a bullseye stencil that is a nice bonus. It is a very nice item for the price point. Highly recommended.

I have this hanging from chains– and if you run carriage bolts through the holes and hang off the back of the bolts, the target naturally angles down to help reduce forward splatter.
This target is well made, looks nice, and is satisfying to hit with small arms. I did not use any rifles on this, so do some more research before you get out that 7mm Creedmoor.
The paint on this is well don’t, but it comes off immediately as you shoot (which is to be expected). Once nice touch is that they included a thin plastic stencil for spray painting that puts a target/crosshairs on the gong, so that’s kind of cool.
Regardless, well made, no sharp edges or burrs, holds up well, and is fun to use. Easy 5 stars.
