   The number of ways to mount the plate and places that this can be moved around the range is awesome. Fit and finish is on point as well. The 2×4 slot has no slop and fits standard lumber perfectly for an out of doors setup or indoor range. Now I had a bit of trouble on the legs, but this was on sand and, when staked in a more firm area, everything ended up fine. There is enough motion and force that this likes to kick out of the stakes if the ground is not firm enough. Especially when playing with heavier weights than 115 grain 9mm. I cannot say anything bad about this target. Materials, bolts, fit and finish are all on point for a higher end system and range customization. With some lube on the spring for water resistance, I see this lasting well more than a few seasons outside.

   Excited to take this to the range and give it a go if there’s any issues I will return to change this review, assembly was easy once I figure out how to properly hold it and put everything together solo with it’s weight. When you go to cut the target free from it’s shipping form be to the side of it and hold the base down it doesn’t spring up violently or too fast but it’s a hard heavy piece of metal so be careful with that. The quality of the target is noted just by the assembly and how uniform the targets are in their accuracy of the manufacturing process. As I have yet to shoot it I have just done some ground tests and functionally I am not worried one bit about this breaking or having any issues at the range. All in all I am very happy at everything I have gotten value wise from this item and feel it will last a long time as long as I’m not shooting steel core or any ammo type that’s out of it’s spec.

   I ordered this steel target for our backyard range and couldn’t be happier. We’ve used it with 9mm, .380, and .40 cal S&W rounds so far, and the AR500 steel holds up perfectly with no dents or damage. The best part is how it plinks and automatically resets after each hit, so we can keep practicing without walking downrange.

   We’ve only used it with the included base sitting on level ground, and it stays put even after hours of shooting. The height is just right – tall enough to see clearly but not so tall that it’s unsteady. For anyone looking for a durable steel target that works with multiple calibers and makes practice more fun, this one delivers exactly what it promises.

   Very high quality steel construction. It assembles easily and includes tools, but is definitely easier to do at home with a socket instead of out at the range with the included wrench. The spring action is nice and is light enough for smaller calibers, but not so light that the wind will move it. I have not tried the 2×4 mount option, and honestly I am having a difficult time picturing how it would work because the mount and target are at right angles to each other, and usually 2×4 mounted targets are parallel to the board. Not knocking a star for that as I haven’t tried it, and honestly I won’t because the stand is great and it also includes some nice stakes to keep it from moving around on impact. Overall great target that is equally as good as the name brand one my friend has at about 2/3s of the price.

   I’ve slowly been adding to my collection of steel targets for my (rural) at-home range. This has been a great addition and am considering ordering a few more. I chose not to use the steel legs that came with it, and instead directly mounted it to a cross-post and am absolutely happy with it.

   This isn’t my first popper target from this company, so while I haven’t had an opportunity to shoot this, I am confident it will hold up well (and, I WILL update this review if it doesn’t).

   Really like the little stand that this one comes with, makes the popper super easy to setup and move around. The other I had had to be attached to a 2×4, or have it’s own stand built. Seeing this as a full package is super nice.
