   Mounted onto a pic rail, this is less than 8.5 inches long. It’s a good length for kids or short people. It is nice quality. The folding mechanism is steel, and it’s well made. The rest of the stock is aluminum and has a nice black finish on it. The pin for the folding butt plate is only held in place with light spring tension. I would put scotch tape over both ends or expect to lose the pin at some point. If the pin falls out, so will the spring-loaded ball detent used to hold the folding butt plate in the up & down positions.

   Could you use this on a read rifle? Sure, but it’s really too short for most people to use as a stock for a real rifle. The quality of it though, makes it plenty strong enough for a real rifle. I bought this for a BB/pellet gun I built out of old broken BB guns and my welder. This is going to work out nicely, but it would be nicer if it were a bit longer. I can cut it in half and TIG weld in an extension if I really need to. No one likes mice in the garage, but sometimes building things to get rid of the pests can be a fun project all by itself.
