Let me start with the things I like about this gun safe. The safe it self feels very high quality and the mounting bracket works great. The padding in the safe securely holds my pistol and works great. The mechanism that opens the safe and slides out works great and slides out quickly should you need quick access to your firearm. The main reason I ordered this safe was the ability to unlock the safe with my finger print and unfortunately this is the one item that I have had the most issue with on this safe. I have tried setting my fingerprint multiple different times and have not been able to get it to accurately read my fingerprint to open the safe. After a few unsuccessful tries the safe locks you out (which is a feature I like, but not if it cannot accurately read my fingerprint and locks me out). Without use of the fingerprint reader to open the safe I am limited to using the key or using the pin with only a 4 number keypad which can quite easily be guessed at. If the fingerprint reader was more accurate and worked as it should this would be the ideal gun safe for me. Unfortunately with the current state of the fingerprint reader I cannot recommend this safe.
