   As a Professional Marksman and Competition Firearms Team Member as well as Avid Hunter I work with a ton of Tactical Gear as well as a ton of Firearms! Having my Firarms in a good quality safe is not only important in protecting my family & others but it’s also the Law! I can’t stress enough it’s always important being a responsible gun owner and a Safe is one of the most important things you can buy! This Biometric Safe is excellent!! It’s an ALL METAL CHASSIS Safe which is important to me! I don’t like Plastic Safes when I’m storing a loaded Firearm! Plastic Safes can easily be compromised with a screwdriver or a torch! Metal Safes on the otherhand like this one typically cannot! Regardless, this Safe is excellent! It comes with a pair of Keys, a Lockdown Cable as well as a USB to USB-C Cable to access your Safe if you happen to run out of batteries! The Setup took me less than one Minute to register my Fingerprint! I did a test 5 Times with the same finger to make sure that everything registered correctly! The Safe successfully opened up 5 out of 5 Times! I love a Biometric Safe that has Zero Failures when you’re trying to open it! At least you have the confidence that if someone were to enter my house in the middle of the night I will have no issues in accessing my Firearm! In addition, there is an interior LED Light that Illuminates over the Safe is open! This is a nice feature especially when it’s the middle of the night that you’re trying to access it! Over all I absolutely love this unit and am impressed by the quality and the build! The Biometric Functions work great and setup is a breeze! To me this is a Five Star Safe! I also want to say that I find this product to be a great find on ngclab.com based on being a quality product, dependability and value!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

   There’s a lot to like about this one, and a couple minor things to know about. I’ll start with what I like: The case is very solid. Of course with the right tools and some time, someone can always get in. But it’s as solid as I would expect from a safe like this. There are three ways to get into the safe- fingerprint, code, and key. The key works without batteries. However, there is a USBC port for power on the front so that you can use the electronic methods even if the batteries die. Very handy! The instructions that came with the safe helped me get started, but the safe itself walks you through the process of setting it up in English. As soon as you push the set button inside the safe, it explains what to do. Instructions and documentation are vital to any product, so I am very pleased with this as it makes it very easy to know what to do if I need to change something a year or more from now well after I have forgotten all the instructions. The case is very reasonably large, able to fit a rather large handheld mass accelerator, and two mags with ease. Could fit more. When opened, there is an internal light to make sure you can see what you’re doing even if it’s dark. Ok now on to the issues: For some reason I had a seriously difficult time programming my left index finger. It would ask for 100+ scans trying to learn the finger- and even then the finger wouldn’t open the safe reliably. In most cases I have had to program any finger two or three times into the safe to get it to open with that finger with significant reliability. This is a little disappointing, as the point of the fingerprint scanner is to not only keep people out who shouldn’t have access, but also to open very fast for someone who should have access. Having to try multiple times is not great. Programming in the same finger two or three times did increase its recognition significantly, as you can see in my video. If the safe is getting bolted down, it’s going to be held solidly in place. Using the included retention cable though I think is a bit iffy. While I haven’t intentionally broken it, I think a good solid yank will break it. I had a situation already where the “set” button on the inside of the safe got pressed and held down by the contents, factory-resetting the device. This is a particular issue, because by default, any fingerprint opens the device. While this is a concerning problem, there is a pretty easy fix (which I have yet to do in my photo)- just put an adhesive rubber foot next to the button so that it won’t get accidentally pressed. Four stars because in general I think it’s a great safe, I really like the voice prompts and the backup USB power, and because even though there are a couple issues they are all pretty easy to resolve.

   Works perfectly as a low-budget, portable safe. secure, and easy to set up. Bought it for ski vacations to secure valuables at the cabin (not to store guns but who says it is only for guns?). Pretty sure it will become handy for summer road trips too. Fingerprint sensor is responsive and easy to set up. Just works.

   This is a safe for smaller items that I would consider more a lock box but that is mostly semantics. At first look is seems very well made though it’s on the light side in my opinion. The safe is very feature packed. There are 3 ways to open it: physical key (2 are included), 6 digit password (the password MUST be 6 digits), or with a fingerprint. Multiple passwords and fingerprints can be programmed. Overall this strategy is very solid. If you’re the owner you’ll be able to get in the safe. The safe is powered by 4 AA batteries that are not included. I strongly advise using lithium chemistry AAs for long life and peace of mind. There is a low battery alert that is activated when you press a button or the fingerprint sensor, but as my batteries are new I couldn’t test it. The unit comes with a USB cable that is not for charging but for powering the safe when the batteries are dead and you have lost your keys allowing access. Very nice feature. I found programing very easy. As a matter of fact the fingerprint programming and recognition is better than that on my phone. Password programming is also very easy with a verification feature to be sure the password you put in is the one you think you did. The only thing about the password is that it must be 6 digits. I have my go to passwords but they’re all 4 digit. No biggie tho. There is a small LED light inside that comes on for a time when the safe is opened. It’s not bright but you should be able to find what your looking for by feel anyway. For what it is advertised for I feel that the size is perfect. Be aware the lid flips up/open so using this under a vehicle seat is not really an option. I plan on using this in vehicles or my camper. I haven’t tried prying it open but I bet with a big enough screwdriver you could do it. But in my opinion this is more about keeping unauthorized people out not stopping practiced criminals. It does come with a tether cable as well as mounting screws. The cable is thin but your not going to break with bare hands. Overall this is perfect for my needs and has the functionality I need, providing peace of mind that unauthorized people will be kept out and I can always get in.
