   I needed a new red dot for a pcc build I was making, but I didn’t feel like spending the normally $300+ I have before for a third Holosun AEMS or some other design. I was recommended this optic by a friend who truly uses and abuses his firearms.
   After taking this to the range, I found that this optic was set up right out of the box and only really needed slight adjustments to conform to the ballistics of my 9mm build. The buttons are pretty sturdy and the optic pictures are pretty versatile for the price. I appreciate that the glass is very clear and so far I have notbhad any issues with the dot moving on me despite this optic being stored in a backpack and banged around.
   My only real complaint is that I feel that the overall housing and hardware are of a lower or slightly questionable quality. I simply have not had this optic long enough to get over the fear of it failing randomly, but with the price, I honestly wouldn’t be too upset if I had to replace it later on down the line.

   The CVLIFE EagleFeather is a really nice and versatile red dot, and I was fortunate to have the opportunity to review it. First, it’s exceedingly simple to operate and install. There are two mounts to choose from, depending on if you want to co-witness with your existing iron sights, or keep the dot close to the barrel axis for easier target acquisition. I actually chose a very different mounting option. I used the low mounting bracket but placed the red dot on a piggyback rail, so it was above and in front of my low power variable optic (see photos). This allows me to use the red dot for quick target acquisition but drop my head and use the traditional optic if I need increased accuracy. You can choose between three reticles setups, one is 2 MOA single dot, the other is a 65 MOA ring, and you can also have both on simultaneously. The brightness settings have a wide range, and you can really crank it up if you need the dot/reticle to stand out against the background. It was also very easy to sight in. It’s a very nice red dot and I don’t think anyone who tries it will be disappointed in the performance.

   This is my first red dot and I like it. The optics are very clear and it’s easy to use and adjust. I like that you can choose what style reticle to display and the long battery life. It also comes with everything you need to mount it. Including a cover for both lenses. Granted it’s not as good as the military issued ones that I’ve used, but it also cost no where near what they do. This does the job at a great price point.

   bonus that this one has 3 reticles instead of one like the Romeo 5. Great product at a better price point.

   As others have already mentioned, the glass is very clear, the brightness settings are visible in sunlight, the reticles are well defined and crisp. Seems to hold zero well so far and appears to be made very well. I do see a hint of red hue from the diode (or whatever it’s called), but not as much as many other sights of similar design. I am very pleased with this purchase and would buy again.
