Overall, the metal feels solid which was surprising. The adjustment of the screw too a second to figure out and the groove cut into the metal around it to keep it from rotating doesn’t let you fine tune the fit. For mine it was either a smidge too loose or too tight. I went with the too tight due to the bigger issue I noticed. The locking notch on the QD throw arm is cut too far back and won’t let the lock engage. I thought maybe I could use a mallet (rubber) to tap it hard enough to get it to lock, this just wasn’t the case. So when I took it shooting, after 3 shots the lever started moving and releasing from the rail. I wanted this as a temporary solution for my magnifier while I waited to buy the UNITY mount, but I’ll be returning it and just waiting till I can order the real thing. You get what you pay for.

NOT compatible with G45. I have a genuine EOTech G45, not some knock off and this does not fit. The only way this would work is if the whole unit was like 1/4 inch taller at the bottom section. The magnifier can’t fold all the way down so hits the rail, I even moved the whole thing back to try to give it a little more space by the charge handle and it ends up still hitting. This caused my magnifier adjustment knob to rub and wear through the cerakote on my rifle. I only bought this because the unity is out of stock and 100% regret it. I ordered a second one in case I just got a bad one and it was the same issue on that. Don’t buy if you have a G45. Pics show where it hit/rubbed as well as the angle it sits when folded down.

You WILL need to get a better QD for this to work. Otherwise it’s all slop and will not allow for you to adjust and tighten down enough. Would I do it again? Probably not.

When I purchased this Unity knock off. I fully expect it to not fit, not look like the advertised images, or just not show up. But it did! It even looked like the pictures. Fits my G33 very well. The detent feels solid, both at the top and bottom. So if you’re interested in the Unity Omni riser but don’t want to pay the ridiculous price for it. Buy this one.
