   I like these have a good solid steel construction. They look and feel like any ordinary ammo can. I like that the lid has a nice heavy seal in the lid but I had to find out the hard way these lids just slide off. The hinges on these cans are horrible. When I opened the first one, I was left holding the lid while the can crashed into the table and then the floor. Nothing was damaged but that was not a pleasant surprise. Everything else worked fine. These lids are horrible other than the seal on the inside top. The handles are ok and they stack ok. I am probably just going to keep these on the ground rather than stack them.

   These ammo cans are great. The small cans can hold 3000 rounds of 22 with some room for moisture packets. They will also hold 1000 rounds of 9 with room. 1200 rounds of 9 with zero room left. It can also hold 1000 of 40 but it’s too tight for me so I’m getting the next side up for that. Just an FYI

   Individually, this is a weighty storage that works as intended. The lid is double walled and the box isn’t paper thin. The gasket is a higher quality heavy rubber that is held in by that inner lining plate in the lid. I cannot fault the construction in any of the boxes. However.. They do not nicely stack and the handle is somewhat smaller and a bit harder to grab while wearing gloves. This is related. The handle is supposed to be somewhat stout and hold the actual capacity of the box. At the same time, they did not recess the base of the box enough to accommodate the size of the handle design. I find this very frustrating as the overall construction is heavier than expected. Not being able to stack without wobbling is horrible and ruins the whole point of this type of box.

   Cans appear to be made of standard material. Nice finish, nice cans, but lids fall right off when opening. Leads me to question how well the seal will be in the rear of the can as the front does not clamp down as tight as what a standard surplus can would as well. I use these for longer-term storage so time will tell. However, in the meantime, will not purchase again.

   Great cans. Good quality and nearly identical to the original versions. The only perceivable difference is that the sizes of the cans are slightly different. The overall outside length and width of the can is different by about 1/16 inch. Side by side, the lid on the new can appears to be more than 1/16″ bigger length-wise. The cans seal fine and operate exactly like the original cans. My only real issue, like the originals, is that the word “stacking” is open to interpretation. Yes, there’s a notch on the bottom of the can to receive the handle of the can below it but the notch isn’t really deep enough, and therefore the cans on top don’t feel super stable. If these are reproductions, I wish they would have fixed this design flaw. Overall these are really nice cans and I imagine they will serve their intended use for many years to come.
