- A Dovetail Shoe bolts to the 1/4-20 threaded insert in the FLIR M24, providing a low profile interface for the mount adapter.
- When the adapter is not installed, the dovetail shoe is barely noticeable, so handheld operation is not impeded in any way.
- The adapter arm provides interpupillary adjustment while the vertical, fore/aft, and tilt adjustment are handled by the helmet mount.
- The FLIR M24 Mount Adapter can also be disassembled and reassembled in reverse for left eye or right eye coverage.
