   Only game in town, or at least in obvious availability. Easily handles sporters and hunting rifles but if you think you’re going to mount a 20 pound target monster, forget abut it. Couples nicely with tripods and has enough tension to hold stead even the wind is buffeting your position.

   I wanted to get a BOG but didn’t want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on one so I bought this and a Victiv ball mount tripod for about $60. At a grand total of $100 between the two of them Im more than happy. It works just as good as the death grip and is honestly probably built better in my opinion. My tripod and clamp are both made from aluminum and not some cheap plastic.

   This Manbily Shooting Saddle Is everything that it claims to be. It is an updated design that offers improvements from an older model. This model was designed so both jaws travel and that keeps the center of the saddle over the tripod column for greatest stability. The shooting saddle is made from finely machined aluminum. Fit and finish are excellent. The rubber jaw covers are very soft and robust. I have no fear of the saddle damaging my well cared for gear. The removable Arca Swiss mount also has both 1/4 and 3/8 tripod mounts built in. It also has stop screws that are removable. It fits and works fine on all of my Arca Swiss heads. I have tripods ranging fro nine inch to nine feet and this saddle can take it’s place on top of any of them. Jaw travel is 0.98″ to 3.15″ (25mm~80mm), adequate for the saddles intended use. It would be more versatile if the jaws closed all the way. I know that would require a lot of locking lever turns. If we are going that far, let’s add a hex nut on the end of the locking lever bolt so that you can use a power driver to fully traverse the four inches of travel. As helpful as this saddle rest is at the range or in the field, it is equally useful on a Gunsmithing bench. I am going to rig a tabletop mount for it. This is another place narrower jaws would be helpful. One thing to bear in mind is that the jaw width, where ever you set it, is fixed and parallel. The jaws will not adapt to irregular or stepped surfaces. I set up an AR in the saddle and because of accessories, the only way it would fit, was to split the jaws between the hand guard and receiver. The two parts had slightly different widths so the jaws only grabbed onto the widest part and the rest was unsupported. The saddle grip was less than ideal and not to be trusted by taking your hands off it. It was still more solid than a shooting yoke. All things considered, this is a useful and excellent product.

   This is acceptably well made and should do the job of holding my rifle steady enough for coyote hunts. I mounted this to a “Trigger Stick clip in adapter” which came with the tripod with a 1/4″ or 3/8″ fastener and screwed it into this cradle. It is tight , clips into the tripod and will balance the rifle with a good grip for shots when a bipod just doesn’t fit the hunting scenario. Has a good bit of rubber or whatever it is and does not mess up the guns finish. I usually incorporate a 3/8 x 16 boss in the stock when I build a rifle to fasten a tripod adapter to the stock then clip it in to a good tripod but this is a good alternative when you don’t want to drag a heavy tripod into the field but instead can use a light weight “trigger stick” instead and mount this to it for a good cradle to balance a rifle on…Looks like 6061 aluminum with nice machining so we’ll see how it holds up…

It exudes sturdiness and reliability. Setting up the shooting rest was straightforward – it attaches to my tripod securely, and the adjustments are simple to make with the screwing lever. Clamp your rifle in the center of its gravity to balance it properly. Regularly check the adjustment screws to maintain jaw tension. Talking about issues and improvements I can say that I didn’t encounter any significant issues during my usage of the shooting rest. However, it’s worth noting that the size of the adjustment knob might pose a problem when used with some tripods, as it could interfere with their adjustment knobs. Also, I’ve encountered an issue with the base that has two small protruding screws that may prevent you from attaching to a wider base, see the photos I’ve attached. *** TL;DR *** I wholeheartedly recommend the Manbily shooting rest saddle to anyone in need of a stable firearm support accessory and is a remarkable addition to any shooter’s gear, enhancing stability and precision.     this is a very solid unit, good construction, handle feels more secure than others. A very fluid action. doesn’t feel as heavy as some of the other name brand. Attached easily to my Primo’s Tripod that I use hunting. may upgrade to five stars after I have in field hunting. OH, forty percent less than name brands.
