   This is my second trail camera. My first lasted about two years before failing. This is an initial review based on first impressions without actual performance. I burned through several batteries with my first trail camera. I was looking for a camera that has rechargeable batteries and solar recharging. This camera checks all the boxes and is very compact. Set up with the WIFI app was quick and easy. One important thing to note is this camera does not have a display, you connect when you are in close proximity to the camera to see photos, videos, and what the lens is currently seeing.
   I’m impressed with the build quality and the discreet size as well as the WIFI, solar, and rechargeable battery features. I will update my review after testing in my back yard.

   The size us nice, but after trying for over 3 hours ,i could not get it paired with the app, trying to use help chat, and they want you to shut off Wifi and blue tooth, do than you’ve get to start over. Very frustrating, i have paired a lot if things, never had issues, so maybe if was just me, but i think if would have been what i wanted in size and solar.I sent it back.

   Came fully charged, great hardware options for attaching cameras. The software found the camera on the 1st try, and once connected, as long as I’m within range, shows crystal clear video, live, and can take a photo. Perfect for outdoor use. Ours are in use where our home security cameras don’t cover.

   I am very happy with this MAXDONE Solar Trail Camera. Overall, this camera is very good and reasonably priced. This is my second MAXDONE trail camera, the first one is still working after more than a year. I like the fact that this camera doesn’t need batteries and is smaller than other trail cameras I’ve owned. The camera is solar charged and has a charging cable if needed. It was very easy to set up. It remotely records video and still pictures on your phone when connected to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth which is very convenient. The motion sensor option is very good, and the image quality is excellent even for small animals. For larger wildlife the 65ft trigger distance is great. I am using it currently to observe birds at my feeders. During the growing season I’m going to install it in my vegetable garden to identify vegetable thieves and take proper action to stop the perpetrators!

   This camera is great for the price. It has more desirable features than many more expensive cameras. Set-up was easy and it is nice not to have to go outside during inclement weather to view your pictures. It works great with my IPhone and my IPad. The other thing that is nice is that it takes both videos and photos during the same event. My older camera had to be set for either video or photos but not both at the same time. This caused me to miss videos that might have been interesting. I also like that I don’t have to keep replacing batteries since it has a rechargeable battery and a solar charger.

   This is our second maxdone wifi trail camera. We loved the non solar model because we set them up outside to see what critters are in our garden and can connect to them without even leaving the house. The built in battery lasts for weeks. This solar powered one is even better. It recharges itself and has a battery for when it is dark and cloudy. The picture and video quality they record is very good and the 30gb card holds a lot of recordings. One of the best things about these cameras is they are all accessible through the app and there are no additional fees. Others I looked at require a monthly fee for accessing the videos.

   I was looking for an economical trail cam for my back yard. I was looking for a WIFI camera I could access remotely to review photos. While this camera is WIFI, it’s not WIFI in the sense you can connect it to your home network. It generates its own WIFI signal and allows connectivity through the app. You must be within range of the camera to utilize.
   My camera is about 40yards to my couch and it connects on the 1st attempt 98 percent of the time. I do find having my wood blinds closed does at times hinder connectivity.

   That being said, the camera size is small enough to attach to the small trees in my back yard. The picture quality during the day is excellent. The night time quality is satisfactory for my needs.(see pics)

   I had the camera unboxed and working within minutes as the setup is incredibly easy. There is a 3hr charging recommendation before the 1st use, but mine was charged in under 2. I missed out on the 1st nights use as I left the camera in setup mode. Don’t forget to switch it to on!

   The solar panel is a great feature and has continued to keep the battery charged. I’m curious if I’ll need to relocate the camera once the leaves grow back.

   Overall I’m happy with the quality of the camera, it’s ease of use and features.

   This is a great little camera. With the built in solar panel and internal batteries it is much smaller than a traditional battery operated trail cam. There is an app that you need to download on your phone in order to set up the picture/video parameters. It is super easy to download, add your camera and choose your settings. The camera comes with an SD card. However, one of the best features of this camera is that you can connect your phone via Bluetooth while you are near it and look at and download images . You can also view the camera’s status, including battery life. Don’t want to fuss with changing batteries and SD cards, I highly recommend this trail cam.
