- Features Monstrum’s proprietary LPVO optics assembly with true 1x sight picture, 1-6x variable first focal plane magnification, generous eye relief, and ultra-forgiving eye box – with performance unmatched at its price point.
- Extra low Dispersion (ED) glass – more commonly found in high end camera lenses and binoculars – reducing chromatic aberration and providing superior color contrast and sharper image quality. With added anti-reflective lens coating treatment for our brightest and highest quality sight picture yet
- Functionally designed windage and elevation adjustments with precise 1/2 MOA/click (MOA version) or 0.2 MIL/click (MIL version) adjustments.
- Rehauled illumination mechanism with multiple brightness intensities – offering true daylight bright reticle illumination at the highest setting
- New reticle offerings including the Morpheus MOA, Morpheus MIL, and CM8 reticle -designed for both fast target acquisition at 1x and precise ranging at longer distances. First focal plane reticles shrink and enlarge in proportion to the magnification so ranging information remains consistent across all magnifications – 1 MOA hashmark = 1 MOA regardless of magnification.

Cool and creative styling. However, the mounting bracket has too much play in it. Making the scope sit crooked in the rifle. Crosshairs were crooked every time. The replacement I received did the same. I ended up having to pay return shipping to get my money back.

I ordered one of these directly from Monstrum and I have to say I’m very impressed. I’m sure spending $1k or more can get you something better, but as far as bang for the buck goes, this one is really tough to beat. It feels like and absolute tank. The glass clarity is very nice. The etched reticle is crisp and the illumination is good overall. The only thing I can’t speak to is how long it will hold up, but my initial impressions indicate it’ll do just fine. My favorite LPVO for the money has been the Vortex Viper PST, but this new Monstrum Archangel is really a solid contender in the LPVO market. And Monstrum has a great warranty service too, so really there’s no risk here. Monstrum appears to be a serious up and coming contender in this market. And if this optic reflects where they are taking things, I think Monstrum is going to become a definite go to for me in the future.

I haven’t had the chance to test this scope at the range yet, but after mounting it on my AR-15 and checking its brightness and zoom, I’m impressed! Everything is solid, with no issues—nothing was mounted crooked, and the installation was a breeze. As a nice bonus, the package included an extra battery in addition to the one already installed in the scope.
The build feels sturdy and reliable, with a quality that seems ready to handle just about anything. While the scope does have a bit of weight to it, that’s not a concern for me personally it feels good.
