   I like the first one so much, or should I say my wife like the first one show so much she wanted one now we have two. We’ve mounted on our 22 Ruger chargers and they are a great value super sharp optics and I highly recommend them.

   This is my initial impressions of the Monstrum Ruckus 3X Prism Scope as I have not yet taken it out on the range for testing. I requested the BDC Reticle option but you can also get this with the DX1 and Circle Dot Reticles as well. In the box you receive your standard Torx wrench, a Miro-fiber cloth, an additional CR2032A battery, the Ruckus Scope and Mount. The scope is compact but a bit on the heavier side. It offers a clear sight picture and prounounced recticle that is better enhanced via the various levels of red illumination. The Prism Scope features a fixed 3X zoom, Shake Awake capabilities, is IPX7 Waterproof & Fogproof rated. The housing has the standard illumination dial (0-11), Elevation & Windage adjustments as well as the Diopter adjustment on the eyepiece for those with Astigmatism such as myself. I’ve tested it with both my corrective lenses in and out and the Prism Scope does an excellent job of maintaining a clear and sharp sight picture that even allows me to clearly make out words without corrective eyewear. The auto Shake-awake feature activates after 10 minutes of no movement. A slight nudge will bring the illumination back on and at the previously set illumination level. To turn it off set the dial to “0”. With the scope being a fixed 3X zoom, I would have liked to see a top mount option for a standard Red Dot. However, for the price and what you get, I can’t complain! We will see how it holds up at the range but my initial impressions of this Prism Scope are good!

   I was going to buy a much higher priced prism scope before found the Monstrum prism scope. After watching a few videos and reading reviews, I thought I’d take a chance. The scope is so clear it definitely rivals the higher price scopes. I liked it so much. I bought a second one. I really like the DC – 1reticle and the shake awake is a great feature

   I am pleasantly surprised. I bought this for an AR in 7,62x 39. The sight is mounted but not tested yet. It is mounted as far rearward as possible to accommodate the best eye relief. I had to remove the rear BUIS for this reason, but this optic has a great reticle so that did not hurt my feelings. This optic is clear and bright. And once the rear focus is adjusted, it’s a beautiful sight picture. The last test will be to see if it holds a zero. I haven’t tried yet. But based upon my experience so far, I’m rating it 5 stars. I will update once I make it go bang a few times, but I’m not anticipating any negative results. This 5 star review is not based on, “for a budget optic.” It’s my rating REGARDLESS of price. So far I am just thoroughly impressed.

   Illuminated reticle lights up the whole window with a red tinge – washing out the image. Seems like the designer realized this issue and fixed it by dimming the reticle. At full brightness, with a fresh battery, the reticle shines at about 70% brightness of a 8 year old beater Vortex.

   Heavy to be so small.

   Craftsmanship is OK at best. the dail is sticky.

   The manual implies that there is some control over red or green reticle – but as far as I can tell only red is available. It also makes mentions of notations on the dial that do not exist (R/G for off position).

   All in all – womp womp.

   Strait out the box I was shocked on how well the glass was. The eye relief is a much better than the acog optic and allowed me to move it further away from my charging handle on my ar pistol. The shake and wake feature so far works after 10 minutes will shut off. the instructions said after 20 minutes of sleep it will shut off completely so before storing make sure the brightness is set to your liking. It came with an extra battery and one in the optic ready to go. The weight is nothing to worry about and the shake and wake is definitely adds to the value of the money .
