   I purchased to sets of prohear, one for myself and one for my wife who also shoots at our local indoor range. These have been excellent headphones enabling us to have noise protection as well as to communicate with each other. I had one of the battery cover plates break a tab that holds it solid in place. I contacted support to see if I could purchase another. They were quick in response and generous to provide a new cover without charge. Great customer service

   ProHear is a brand, not a description. These are not as good as other MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE ‘professional shooter’ ear protection, BUT, I have seen multiple YouTube videos where top notch guys and gals use these and mid-level ‘other brands’. Bottom line is they work very well, as advertised, and keep my wife’s ears safe when she comes along to train for EDC. While she is watching or waiting on me, she can browse her phone and take call while maintaining the safety of her precious ears. I’ve used them to compare to my more expensive protection and the ProHearing device is quite impressive at this price point. We both highly recommend this product. (Our pew pews are .380 and 9mm pistols, as well as a 10.5 AR15 with a flash forward device for range courtesy).

   I’ve been using the ranges pair of these and I finally sprung for a set. I really love these. The surround sound can be amplified and you can still shoot safely without damaging your ears!
   They’re easy to adjust and I saw you could buy new gel muffs, I might upgrade later when I wear these out but these muffs are comfortable too. It batteries are way to get to and to replace, I don’t know about how long they last yet and I also haven’t tried the Bluetooth function yet as I wanna listen to my gun as I shoot and not music. I don’t know if I’ll ever use the Bluetooth on this.

    I took mine to the range the day I got them, the range I use has the lanes really close to one another, you’re right on top of other shooters. While uncomfortable, it has its advantages! Unfortunately, the guys next to us had their 12g and it felt like the blasts went smooth through my ear protection and I left with my right ear ringing a bit…..if these allowed me to incur injury from someone else’s shooting, than I’ll admit Im super jealous of my brother’s Walkers which blocked out just about 100% of those shotty blasts. So these are definitely good, though you may want to consider something a bit better for a little more money.

    I was replacing an old set of Howard Leights. I ordered 4 sets of electronic hearing proetection to test out: the ProHear with gel pads, Champion Vanquish, AKT1 Sport, and 3M Peltor Sport 300. The specs all appear to be pretty similar, but the prices varied quite a bit from $60 (the ProHear) to $117 (Champion). The Peltor didn’t ship so I cancelled the order. So my comparison was 3 sets. Long story short… I kept the ProHears. The AKT1 and ProHear seemed to have very similar noise reduction, but the ProHear seemed just a bit faster responding to noise. As for comfort, they are both similar, but when I took them both to the range the ProHear were the set that stayed on my head. The Champions were just too tight on my head, and the attenuation was slower than the ProHear. I didn’t bother taking the Champions to the range. Surprisingly, the least expensive of the 3 turned out to be the clear winner.
