   Easy to mount and relatively sturdy for what it is. Wish that there were more thumbscrew contacts for each mounting position, but it works. The fingerprint function can be touchy but it does also work. The keyed access is a little squirrelly as the key doesn’t go in very far and is prone to falling out when the drawer drops. Multiple power supply options is a plus as redundancies are important failsafe’s.

   Setup was a breeze, very easy to assemble, configure and mount on the wall. I was able to program a passcode and register a fingerprint very easily… one problem.. the fingerprint reader is not very forgiving. Meaning I’ve had to wipe my finger off and try again after getting denied 3 times in a row… it’s very specific.. which is good and bad..

   Good: It won’t let anyone who has a fingerprint close to yours get in.
   Bad: If someone’s breaking in… you have seconds to get this open and retrieve your pew-pew… so in a emergency.. try the fingerprint once and if it fails, fall back to the pin code.

I couldn’t measure it, but it was definitely less than a second —so you can access your firearm in a pinch. Programming up to 20 fingerprints and setting a passcode is super easy, giving you plenty of flexibility. I input several of my fingers, as well as the wife’s.    The fingerprint/biometric only identifies 30% of the time roughly and when I put batteries in it constantly says low battery replaced them three times and still beeps low battery
