Initially pleased with this product, but found after only two hours use the “core” was damaged from exposure to a high heat source. The core, the most expensive component, was damaged, resulting in erroneous images on the viewing screen. The manual did state a simple warning, but did not mention the potential damage could be significant and would not be covered by the warranty.
Customer support told me to not point it at a high heat source and not to leave the lens cover open when not using it, presumably with the power on. This information should have appeared in the manual as it would have saved me $250.00! Other products similar to this have circuitry to protect the core, this does not, so beware!
