This is a pretty decent mat, much wider than my J. Allen mat, though not as packable. The only real gripe is the unpadded portion of the front. I bought the mat to not lay on the wet ground when shooting. The unpadded portion, when used with the little bipod loop, serves what purpose? To keep dust down maybe? I’d prefer to not have that loop, and to have a full dry, padded mat to lay on. I literally purchased this much wider mat so less of my body would be hanging off. No worries, I just throw the thing down backwards so my legs aren’t fully in the wet dirt and my elbows are on the padding. Literally the only grip is the lack of the padding on that last â…“ of the pad.
