   You certainly get what you pay for with this trail camera. After less than 6 months of use it is now basically inoperable with the inside of the camera lens so fogged up the already grainy photos are now even worse. I have experience with a dozen or so different types of trail cams and I won’t lie I was really excited for this and intended to get more. The good: – inexpensive -decent trigger speed -decent night vision -good cell signal -solar panel kept battery topped off very well until recently when it no longer could keep up. -can live view in near real time The bad: -water compromised after less than 6 months. Lens is now completely fogged up internally. – battery life plummeted around the same time the image became foggy, possibly related. -pricing options for data are expensive and jump up quickly, 60g for 12 months costs more than unlimited data for 12 months on my Reconyx cameras and the image quality on the latter is dramatically better. -UI on the app is very clunky and slow to review/download Overall, I had much higher hopes for this camera. I will be contacting customer service and will update this review with the outcome.

   I love this camera! Most trail cams at this price point are not good at all, but this one, so far, is great! I LOVE that the solar panel keeps the camera charged without spending tons on batteries! The app makes interfacing with the camera pretty easy. The only feature I wish it had is a zoom so you could zoom closer if the mounting location was a little far away, but even without zoom, it provides a really great picture, day and night, and is a great addition to my land!

   This actually exceeds my expectations. The solar panel and battery work great, the images are excellent, and I really love the versatility and mobility. For example, I first used this to monitor the woods behind my house, only to discover that the action back there was boring and very limited. So then I simply moved it over to my new garden fish pond to observe our new fish. And whenever I want to move it again for a new reason, it wll be easy.

   I didn’t have high expectations since it was on the cheaper price point, but have been pleasantly surprised with this camera. I waited over 2 months to leave a review in case it crapped out quick. Picture and video quality have been very good. Cell service isn’t the best where I have my camera and it shows one bar. I surprisingly have had zero issues with reception. I have always been able to pull up the live feed. Battery has always stayed at 100% even though it has been down to as low as 2°F. I haven’t had any problems with branch movement setting it off. So not a lot of wasted videos and pictures. Hopefully it holds up and keeps performing well. I feel like I had good luck here. You can put a mini sd card in for storage as well. You can pay fees month by month or lump months together for a cheaper price. Good luck.

   One of the most solid/put together trail cams I’ve used. Comes with strap and preloaded SIM so it’s ready outta the box (gotta pay for service which isn’t much). iPhone App is smooth and setup took about 15min. Just add an SD card…get the biggest one you can. Comes with 30 days of cloud storage, but if you’re checking cams often, you can skip it and save a few bucks. Solid cam all around.

   The camera works great — when it connects…. When I first got the camera and set it up, I could connect to it easily, it was such a pleasure. Now, however I find that i have to try the connection multiple times before it connects – yesterday it took me over 30 minutes of continuous failures in order to connect. There is plenty of data still on the plan, its just that the phone portion of the camera will not pick up. Once it does connect, it will stay connected pretty reliably (but sometimes it will even hang up on me). I really like the option to capture video and still photos right to my phone through the app. I have only a 1 GB data card installed (it’s all i had) so its not capturing photos locally. i am unsure if the connection problem is due to the camera, or if the carrier has decreased its coverage. I’ve had it less than two months, and its becoming increasingly difficult to connect.

   Update: seller contacted me and offered a replacement unit which will arrive in a couple of days. I’m looking forward to testing it too.

    Picture quality is great, set up was effortless. Being solar powered, and having cellular connectivity are great additions because I get notifications to my phone and don’t even have to get off the couch to see what’s happening. I’m currently using one to watch for predators around my chicken coop so the instant notifications are extremely handy.
