I bought this rangefinder as a comparison to the Vortex Optics Diamondback HD 2000 Laser Rangefinder. The HD 2000 was my first place pick based on research. Until I looked thru the Sig Kilo 2800. The Kilo has much better clarity of both the field of view and the digital readouts for range, mode, etc. There is no comparison. For such a long range unit, though, I almost gave this a 4-star rating because it really needs a tripod mount. However, after ranging out to 1990 yards accurately (checked by Google Earth) and QUICKLY, I changed my mind and wholeheartedly give this a 5-star rating. Especially since it’s $40 cheaper than the Vortex. I love my Vortex scopes but love my Sig rangefinder.

It worked fine to begin with no problem then 1 hour later tried again readout was very dim and said battery was low put in new one still no better got voltage meter out battery was fine put the battery that came with it back in said 100 percent still low light it is supposed to have auto brightness think it malfunction and electrical issues. Not impressed with it I have another sign kilo 1250 never had a issue at. All.

Very small and compact and reads far away. I haven’t taken time to learn everything it will do yet.

Don’t buy this range finder. Pick a different brand, have had nothing but problems out of this one.
