   I really like that this provides all necessary parts except for the 2×4 post. The quality is very good from the base to the plate. It is heavy and well designed. The base is sturdy and very functional even for the large heavy hostages plate. It assembles easily, with complete assembly taking less than 30 minutes. It is an excellent value for the price point.    I already have a similar version of this for my home range made by another company, and when I wanted another to add to my targets, I decided to go with this one because of the unique 3-inch round yellow flappable paddle, as there’s nothing more fun than hearing that ringing of steel. We only use AR500 steel on our range, usually in either 3/8-inch or 1/4-inch steel depending on what we’re shooting. We use the 1/4-inch steel for shooting rimfire loads, and 3/8-inch steel for our handgun and rifle centerfire loads, so I appreciate that this is a 3/8-inch think target onto which I can safely shoot my 300 Blackout subsonic rifle loads. It sounds great and takes a beating, and the projectiles safely fragment downward upon impact. We’ve previously ordered bare steel targets in the past that we have to spray paint when they arrive and then after each shooting session. I like that this target arrived already painted with a thick and hard coating that will take a while to chip. I appreciate that the mounting bracket comes with a compression spring that also angles the target downward, although the compression spring is nearly half the length of my other targets. The base is very stable and drives into the ground for added stability, and It is unique in that it will accept a 2×4, metal T-Post, or V-Shaped shooting columns. The only negative thing I’ll say about the base is that the legs are kind of short at 8.5-inches each, so with the right load you can get this stand to fall over. I ended up pounding in some 18-inch rebar stakes at an angle at each leg to make sure it remained secure in the ground. I hope the stand lasts being left out in the elements like my other steel target stands. If I have any other nitpicks, it is with the following: – The bolt is not a hardened steel, so if you hit it with a rifle round caliber you will likely shear off the bolt head and the target will fall. I would advise keeping a replacement on-hand, that is a grade 8 bolt from your local hardware store. – The instructions are not written by someone with the command of the English language, and it took a little while to read between the lines and interpret the pictographs to get this assembled properly. – With a pressure treated 2×4 inserted in the base, there is a lot of wiggle room, to much for it to be sure. I ended up pounding in some wooden shims so that it wouldn’t move. Unfortunately, there are no screw holes to affix a 2×4 to the stand. – The yellow paddle sometimes gets hung-up when being shot from one side to the other and I have to go down and move it back in place so that it can move freely again. I think it’s because the arm has square edges that occasionally bind up within the slot that holds it in place. Despite my nitpicks, since this is comparably priced to other brands of the same thickness and size of the target, it seems like a decent value as long as you know what to expect and it will take a beating.

   Very well made and thoughtfully functional. We have some property in the middle of nowhere. Long term, we will have a larger shooting range but until then, this will work great for getting some rounds out and will make a great addition to the larger, long-term design. I have nothing negative to say other than… damn, it’s heavy so the outside box was a little beat up upon arrival but the inside box and contents were very well wrapped and secure. No issues there, whatsoever. I’m anxious to get the temporary backstop in place and put some rounds on steel.

   I absolutely love this steel target. I’ve used it as a standing target using a 2×4 board and I have also used it with the included chains as a hanging target. Both ways worked great using 380/9mm/ and I also hit it with some 40. It held up well and so far I’ve had no complaints. I expect too use this during all my outside sessions. I think it’s a great value for your money and I would definitely recommend purchasing

   This is a very well made, sturdy AR500 steel target and stand. The steel is 3/8″ and the stand minus the 2X4 required weighs around 20 lbs. The steel target is set up with a hostage plate too! The main target is 10″ X 16″, and the hostage target is 2.5″. The base measurements are approximately 17″ X 17″ and very secure. Definitely Recommended! 👍

   I just got this and had to try it out right away. Yes, as other reviewers have said, it is on the small side, but it is perfect for my pistol use. Also good for .22 at longer range. Also a great way to use up twisted 2 by 4 lumber. Yes, bring spray paint to protect it when you are done using it. It is heavy, but reasonable weight for what you are getting. Very durable. No damage just paint. Good value for the money.
