I had a the first version of the Reveal and stepped up to the 3.0. Very good pictures and incredibly easy to set up using your phone. Having the solar panel is really necessary as batteries just don’t seem to last long no matter which ones you employ. With the solar panels on both Reveal cameras now I have not had to change out batteries in over 3 months so far with 100% charge being reported daily.

I have 6 of the reveal cameras. All have solar panels and lithium ion battery packs. 4 of them are Gen 2 and work well. I have 2 Gen 3 cameras… the Gen 3 searches for the best carrier so I can’t choose the carrier (this may have something to do with the battery issue). Both Gen 3 cameras have battery life of 1 week or less, no matter where I position them on the ranch. I’ve been communicating with Tacticam Support for 3 weeks now. All I have gotten so far is questions and re-boot suggestions. My ranch is some distance from where I live and I’m normally only there on the weekends so that makes it difficult to troubleshoot.
In my option, stick with the Gen 2s or try a different brand. The gen 3 cameras have issues.
