   I’ve had this camera installed as a security camera watching my barn on my off grid farm with no electricity for about a year. Beef is that it cannot be “paused” remotely. I have this hung high in a tree and when I am there I have to get the ladder out and turn it off physically so it doesn’t send me a bunch of pics every 10:seconds. Other than that It does a good job, has a decent pic and is very gentle on regular batteries. I did however buy the upgrade rechargeable battery pack for it .

   To be blunt, the picture quality sucks, I’ve changed the setting and it doesn’t change the image, plus paying for a subscription this camera isn’t worth it, my older model 2.0 blows this camera out of the water

   First some technical advice from a customer. Once you have a working setup with the SIM & SD working, leave the cards alone or you’ll be sorry. Treat the card slots stupid gentle. Most, if not all, of the X series can be upgraded to D701.
   This cam came with version 3.0 has the latest firmware D701. However, another Pro X was purchased in July (Amz) and it had an older revision. It opens both ATT and VZ carriers on one SIM. Firmware updates can be pushed across wireless from TC. Photos are sharp in night mode.
   The display is ok but sadly it washes out with any light. Everything is in the menu, to include format. Unfortunately the WiFi feature was deleted.

   Husband absolutely loves this camera. He is constantly checking his app to see what’s on his camera. Very easy set up and functions well. Will be purchasing more!

   I think these are probably the best trail cams available. the app is user friendly and feature-rich. I have 6 of these and use them for security. I deducted a star because the videos often start later than where the still shot is taken so they miss crucial parts of an event.
