First off while strap is padded, if you add any weight into the pack, it cuts into your chest.
The CCW area, is too narrow too tight too small to put a side arm in a holster where you have an extended mag.
No clear way to have available extra mags in a Velcro back holder. Places where Velcro is is too floppy when you put a two mag holder.
I had high hopes for this device based on reviews both on vertex website and on ngclab.com, I purchased it directly from vertex took longer than it should have.
I should have bought the vertex navigator sling bag instead, but I got this based on the glowing reviews.

typical Vertx quality…everything you need for EDC, HOWEVER…. it is very tight for a actual pistol.
I need more dedicated volume if you are using the bag how they designed. A X full p320 barely fits and my g19 with optic is fairly tight. This would be great for a 365 size with holster.
It does work fine if you use the main compartment where the tablet sleeve is.

I bought this bag so I can have a quality bag but can carry with me on hospital rotations. the sling makes it a perfect bag to stash extra med supplies I may need to swing around and quickly access it. The bag is of high quality, better quality than the larger 15L Siege bag (which I now have). I ended up returning the bag only because it didnt fit my MacBook Air. really wish this bag was just a tiny bit bigger to fit the laptop but maintain a compact form. The siege is what I have now and not really anything to rave about. If you carry and iPad, a CCW and want space to carry other things thats NOT a MacBook Air, this sling bag is solid.

Lots of pockets and holders. I had a holster made with velcro on one side to hold weapon in bottom chamber.
