- The Dead-Hold BDC is good for hunting at varying ranges where estimating hold-over is a concern. Fully multi-coated lenses increase light transmission with multiple anti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces.
- The locking diopter eyepiece allows the user to set and lock the eyepiece setting once for their eye and forget it.
- The hard anodized finish provides a low-glare matte surface and helps camouflage position. O-ring sealed and nitrogen purged, the Sonora delivers water and fogproof performance. Rugged construction means this scope is shockproof.

The warranty (and customer service) keeps me coming back for more Vortex products. I have a bunch of Crossfire II scopes and a few Diamondbacks (as well as a few Defender CCW and Strikefire red dots) and I had read some good reviews on this Sonora line so I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did. A great warranty, bright, clear glass, well put together and a good price point. I’ll buy more for sure!

I bought this for a 10/22. I normally shoot @50 yards. the fact that I can’t adjust the parallax bums me out because I am slightly out of focus. Otherwise I am close up and personal @50. Someone with better eyes could use it at 100 yards no problem. it is set for 100 yard parallax. I kept it because I liked the warranty and quality. I liked it enough that I then bought the Vortex diamond back with the parallax adjustment for a larger firearm and I love that thing! Vortex is the best middle of the road scope you buy in my opinion and I have seen and used many. doesn’t break the bank and they do stand behind the product.

A good utilitarian scope for the money, perfect for sub-100 yard hunting or 100 yard target. Won’t fall apart immediately. It!s guaranteed for life.

I like the bdc reticle that gets standard action or 308 type calibers easily out to 500 yards. The reticle isnt to busy and the glass is clear. Fit and finish are as nice as every other Vortex and its lightweight. Whats not to love?

Ive always had Nikon scopes until they quit making them then I switched to Vortex, I have a crossfire II, diamondback, and this sonora. I didn’t expect much due to the low cost but I believe it’s clearer than the crossfire 2! It holds zero on my .270 without issue! The “unconditional, unlimited, lifetime warranty” that vortex offers is what sold me. I’m a disabled combat veteran, unlike the non combat veterans I can’t afford top of the line equipment so I’m grateful for a quality scope that I can afford with a great warranty to back it up!

Thought it would be low quality for the price but it is actually awesome. Got it for my Marlin 25m and it works great. No issues so far, nice and bright and it’s amazing value for the low price tag. I’ve been able to be very accurate out to 100 yards.
