   This red dot sight is phenomenal for the price point! I’ve tried several brands at varying prices, and this one is an exceptional value. It was not compatible with my .22, but this was easily resolved with a 3rd party mounting plate, and well worth the minimal investment. Batteries were included, and all the tools needed to mount it to a compatible firearm were included. I do wish it had a back-up solar charger, but it’s not a necessity, and I really can’t complain at this price point.

   The optics are crystal clear and the red dot is very bright. It was a breeze to mount and sight in. I always find the look of these sights to be a bit goofy, personally, but my husband likes the way the squared-off profile looks. I couldn’t be happier with this sight!

   A few years ago or so, this would have been a rather amazing dot for the price, given the quality and all the features. However, there is a lot of competition these days, and red dots have come a long way, offering better and better quality at cheaper and cheaper prices. So, yeah, this is a good dot, but there are a lot of good dots out there at really good prices. That being stated, this one is certainly worth a look.

   I ordered this sight for my son who loves to play airsoft with friends. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work with his particular airsoft gun, but that’s an oversight on my part. He said if the gun has the correct type of mount, it would work for this purpose in addition to with regular pistols/guns. He said it seems to be very well made, and worth the cost.

   Okay let’s look at Zulisy Z1-R Red Circle-Dot Sight. If you’re looking for a reliable and versatile reflex sight, this one is definitely worth considering. It comes with all the necessary components you will need to put it on RMS/RMS-c/507k slide cutout or a Picatinny rail and offers a fairly wide field of view, making it easy to acquire targets quickly and accurately. Note that this sights is also incredibly compact, making it an ideal option for those looking to add a reflex sight to their pistol slide. The simple 4 MOA dot reticle is perfect for this application, providing a clear and precise aiming point without obstructing too much of your field of view. The sight has a very solid construction and feels sturdy and durable. It comes with a Picatinny adapter, which can be used to install the sight on a rifle or shotgun. By default, the sight can be directly mounted to a pistol slide that has a RMS/RMS-c/507k compatible footprint. This provides a great deal of versatility when it comes to mounting options. The sight uses a small CR1632 battery, and its battery compartment is hidden on the top side of its base, so you don’t need to remove the whole sight to change it, but you’ll need a small wrench, which is included. This is an excellent option for battery compartment design IMHO as you are not going to throw away your zeroing and have to re-zero it all over again when you change the battery because you don’t need to remove the sight to do it! It has 10 levels of brightness. The two brightest of the 10 levels are almost indistinguishable though, but it’s sort of normal for reflex sights. There are no IR illumination modes, so if you are planning to use it with your NV goggles look for other options. Pressing the left side “+” button turns the sight ON and holding the “-” button for 3 seconds turns it OFF. The adjustments on this sight are also easy to make, and it comes with a small flathead wrench for making any necessary changes. The main selling point of this sight is the motion wake-up feature. It shuts off the sight after about 5 mins of inactivity and turns on immediately once you pick it up. Apparently, this feature works very well and the sight lights up immediately as soon as I pick it up. This renders it perfectly suited for home defense situations and SHTF situations when you need to grab your weapon and be ready in seconds. If you store your firearm for a long time and want to save the battery, you can completely shut down the sight by holding the “-” button. To summarize, If you’re looking for a cost-effective solution for close range target acquisition, this sight definitely works. It has a large field of view, and the lens has excellent clarity. The 4 MOA dot reticle is a particularly good way to quickly engage and track close-quarters targets. I had no issues with sighting it and it holds zero perfectly when shooting a 9mm caliber pistol round. The only slight issue I noticed is that sometimes the lens can catch sun reflections and this can obscure your targeting capability momentarily. Also, to my surprise, the sight doesn’t come with a rubber cover that you can use to protect it while transporting your firearm. But otherwise it’s great and I think it’s worth the money. Bottom line: The Zulisy Z1-R Red Dot Sight offers versatility, reliability, and ease of use for pistols or rifles. Its compact design, clear reticle, and wide field of view make target acquisition quick and precise. With a durable construction and easy battery replacement, it’s user-friendly. It features a motion wake-up function ideal for home defense and offers impressive performance, solid construction, and an effective 4 MOA red dot reticle. Despite minor issues like sun reflections and lack of IR modes, it’s a cost-effective option for close-range targeting. This sight is by far one of the best I’ve used, and I do not hesitate to give it a solid 5 stars rating. Totally worth the money. Pros: 1. Solid high-quality rugged build. 2.
