  • Hi all. I don’t typically review products, but in this case, I feel consumers need to be warned especially since Spartan support, in my opinion, either refuse to see they are wrong or just do not care. I will attempt to quickly summarize the issues from the last month with this camera here and provide all of the details after for those that want them. The main point of this review is to warn folks that there is a bug in the multi-carrier GoLive camera (might be all multi-carrier versions) which results in the data usage bar not getting updated until the end of the billing cycle for these cameras and even though this can mislead you and / or prevent you from taking action to adjust the camera in an attempt to stop the data usage, they (Support and Mgt.) will not refund you. Even though they have known about this issue for a while, there is no warning on the site, no warning in the app, no warning when you register the camera, etc. The more concerning issue I ran into while dealing with the above data usage one, is that the website and app. settings seem to have gotten out of sync with the camera’s. It appears this resulted in a missed disable of PIR trigger (stop capturing / sending data) so a LOT more data was used after I disabled it. It seems setting the camera to photo + video and only 1 a day has stopped it (I expected to get 1 a day, but not seeing that which is what setting PIR to Off typically does). Per the command history on the site and app, PIR should be set to “High” as of the 6th however, the site and app. have shown that it is “Off” since. I have provided screen shots and logs proving my case to support and support mgr. Even though they too point out that command history shows PIR getting enabled on the 6th and I show a screen shot of the website as of 3/12 showing it is Off as well as a screen shot showing videos getting sent well after a the screen shot showing PIR = “Off”, they will NOT remove the data to be charged at the end of this billing cycle. In fact, the Support mgr. has told me no less than 5 times that this is my fault since I didn’t upgrade my data plan. Not sure how my data plan plays into the website and app. giving misleading info or not. My next step is filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. You might want to review “Spartan Camera” there before making a purchase. Not great. More details… I have used their GoCam for approx. 2 years now and it has worked well so when the need to monitor a remote area arose, I figured Spartan was the perfect choice since I already had a data plan and could add the camera to it for minimal cost. I saw the GoLive camera and liked the feature set especially the multi-carrier option since the area it will monitor is remote and I never know which carrier will work from month to month. I received the camera and set it up on 2/16 and started monitoring it expecting that I would need to tweak it here and there. I have the 500MB plan so I expected an overage to occur while I adjusted the settings or possibly upgrade the plan to a larger one depending on what I found. I set the camera like my GoCam which is to send videos only. Not seeing a ton of triggers, I figured I’d let this run for a day and using Spartans website or app. see what the data usage is and adjust from there. This is what I did with my other camera and it has been reliable so saw no reason not to use the same process here. Knowing that it is cell data I understand that there will be a delay in usage being reflected on Spartans website or application. The first day passes so I have a look at the data usage bar on the Spartan site and see less usage than what I expected. The bar was showing something like 56% of the 500MB. If I remember correctly, this was an increase of 3 – 5%. My first thought was that maybe my expectations of data usage were too high. I then thought that maybe they had implemented compression like my surveillance cameras which results in an amazing reduction in image size. Days pass with little movement in the usage bar and then the end of the billing cycle hit and the bar now shows 467% usage! The real kicker here is that Spartan admitted that they have a bug on the multi-carrier GoLive camera (might be any multi-carrier camera) that results in the data usage not being reflected until billing cycle end. Spartan’s response to this is that since I used the data and the images were sent properly, they will not refund me. They did roll back usage twice while we “discussed” this, that was a small amount of what their misleading site and app. cost me. Since they were unwilling to refund previously used data, I turned the trigger (PIR) on and off a couple of times for a short period to generate data usage so that I could start capturing screen shots, logs, etc. to build my case by getting proof of what was going on since this was going to turn into a battle. I had finished getting my data sometime Thur. 3/7 and turned PIR off to stop data usage. The morning of 3/8, I was still getting videos here and there so I logged into the Spartan site to verify I had indeed turned PIR off and the site showed that I had. I continued to get a few videos so once again verified that the website showed everything was off and it was so, I replied to the ongoing email with support and explained that while everything is off, the camera was still sending videos so it seems they have another issue. I thought this might be a result of them working on the usage issue or data roll back, etc... At this point, there had only been a few videos sent. The next morning, 3/9, I had some work to do in the area of this camera. I looked at what the camera had done overnight and no new videos sent. Every other night when the camera was enabled, there was at least one trigger so I expected it was off as intended. I still took a look at PIR and it showed Off. Went on my way to the area where the camera is to do the work I had to do. Shortly after getting back home, the videos started ROLLING in so I logged into the site and everything is STILL off. In another attempt to stop data usage, I set the camera via the website to photo + video as well as setting the limit to 1 per day and resolution to lowest possible just in case it continues to trigger until I get back there to remove the batteries. This appears to have stopped it. In pleading my case about this new more concerning issue, support pointed out that the command history shows that the last PIR setting change made was from Off to High. Even though this proves my point that a command got dropped resulting in the website / app. thinking / displaying PIR is Off, the data is still my responsibility… Support Mgr. once again telling me in email that they told me to upgrade my data plan and I didn’t so this is fault. I’ve worked in the tech arena for 30+ years and have never seen a technical bug / issue resolved with a data plan upgrade. I’m so SHOCKED at how Spartan can’t see that incorrect information shown on their website and app. led me to believe that the camera had been disabled resulting in a ton more data usage that I feel they are just refusing to see it. There have been calls and daily emails over the last few weeks around these issues all resulting in Spartan only accepting responsibility for the data usage bar not reflecting multi-carrier camera data usage, but not the cell data charges those issues caused by providing false information. They did roll back about $40 of data, but none that I had been charged for (usage bar issue) or will be charged for next month (camera not off when site and app show they are). Below is the command history showing PIR should be set to High. See images to see that site and app. show Off. Gauges are not in spec at all despite being a max and min gauge, they’re the same OAL. These gauges could get someone killed with improper headspacing avoid at all cost

  • I recommend these BESTECT Night Vision Goggles, 4K Night Vision 8x Digital Zoom , 7 Levels of Infrared Adjustment and a 32GB to record Video and Photos. The Night Vision Binoculars come with multiple methods of wearing or carrying, a Head Strap, Helmet Connectors, Neck Strap and there is a Screw In Base that could be used with an Optional Tripod connected in the Bottom of the Binoculars. These Night Vision Binoculars are well built but they are light weight to handle. I personally only make use of the Neck Strap fastened in a manner used with normal binoculars. The Head Strap and Helmet Connection is something I might make use of sometime but I found that I can not walk or navigate trails at night using the Night Vision Goggles fastened against my Face and eyes. These methods may work for others but I didn't like those methods. Charging the built in 3000 mAh battery is easy using the included USB-C Charging Cable connected to the USB-C Port on the side of the Binocular. The charge can last up to 10 hours with IR Off and up to 5 hours with IR On. The 4k Full HD videos and 36MP photos are great looking in Daylight Color Mode and can be viewed directly on the Binoculars, transferred by USB-C cable and Port to a PC or use the included 32MB SD Card with a Reader and view the videos and Photos on the Computer. There are four color effects, Color, Black and White, night vision green and IR Light. You can also take photos and videos in IR Mode as well, those are interesting. The Night Vision Binoculars are rated IP54 Waterproof and are ruggedly built so they are well suited for Outdoor uses. I have been using them to track Coyotes on our property. The Night time IR Mode makes it clear watching the Coyotes, without the Night Vision Binoculars I would never be able to spot them, I hear them all the time but they were nearly impossible to follow at night. These Night Vision Binoculars offer a great deal of functionality but the Markings directly on the Control Buttons are difficult to read but after reading the Instruction Manual and working with them it becomes intuitive. Learning the buttons based on their function and placement makes it easy to operate Outdoors in the Dark. I am enjoying these 4k Night Vision Binoculars, they are a good value for all the technology.

  • I own several Hornady safes and this one is my favorite. The lid and locking mechanisms are slim and dont interfere with gun placement unlike the Hornady covert nightstand clock model. This model allows enoght space to include a holster on the gun. You can even fit a G19 in a Safariland paddle holster in this. Only weakness is this safe is finicky when you enter your code or fingerprint. If it doesnt accept your code the first time, it can be slow and frustrating to wait for it to reset and accept your next try.

  • Holds zero the battery tray is super accessible clear image I don't know what more you could ask for it's a great green dot for the average shooter.

  • Well built, stout and sturdy. Quality materials and positive lockup. Unfortunately, "left handed" does not translate properly to BladeTech. I am right handed and crossdraw and cant, so it doesn't interfere with my other gear. I ordered left handed as ECW's are a support side setup resulting in a left handed holster being used for right handed crossdraw. Hoping BladeTech will sort this out.

I have been reloading for a little over 4 years and i have my powder scoop, my scale and funnel. its a lot of work and time to get the right charge. Well this AUTO-DRUM is amazing!!!!!! i hate reloading 9mm rounds because the powder is small and its a lot of work. I recently purchased the 4 hole turret with the AUTO-DRUM Powder Measure and it works beautifully. I was able to set it for the right powder charge and i was able to make 300 faster than i ever have. I would highly recommend it for reloading all of my charges were within a few hundredths of each other 6.02, 6.04. 6.06 consistently. it is really impressive

  • In the big world of micro/pistol red dots, we’re used to most being a RMR type mount. This is a smaller, RMS-C type optic. I posted a picture that shows what models and makes it fits; make sure to check! This is even smaller than most of your pistol red dots, made for carry guns/compact pistols with slide cuts. The optic itself is beautiful, well made and feature rich. Polymer housing, crystal clear, curved glass. This is some of the clearest glass I’ve ever seen on a micro red dot. For example, on my CCW rig, I have a popular brand of optic on there and there’s a blueish hue which doesn’t lend itself well to shooting at dusk. This glass is very, very clear with no hue of any color in the glass. The brightness adjustments are just done with one button on the left of the optic to cycle between 1-5 brightness settings, which then auto adjust to your lighting in any new environment. The optic should go very low or off when in the dark, assuming it’s holstered or in a safe. There’s texturing on the front of the housing, should you need to use it to rack a slide, and there’s a hood over it to protect the glass. The optic also only weighs half an ounce. I love that it comes with small rear site nubs that are removable… Also a white line in the middle just for quicker target acquisition if you’re trying to co-witness your sights. Only downside about those removable rear nubs up top is that it is not a top mounted battery. You do have to remove the optic to replace the battery. That being said, it does boast a 25,000 hour battery life, which is 2-3 years. This is achievable because of their light, sensing technology that allows you to set your brightness, and it will adjust in different light settings to save battery life, and not be too bright or too dark. It comes with many screws to mount, backup batteries and a no questions asked lifetime warranty. If you’re looking for a feature rich compact micro red dot on a middle of the road budget with a fantastic warranty, I would strongly recommend the Burris FastFire C.

  • Super high quality. Adds resistance to walks. I also use for weighted pull ups, dips and pushups. Buy it. You will not regret it.

  • I was looking for a laser for my G43x and I found this item. The install was easy - take out the body screws of the laser and then it sandwiches the trigger guard. Then put the screws back in and you’re up & running. There are elevation and windage adjustments, one key thing to note this will not fit the MOS variants due to the rail. You have the option of momentary use or solid on. All in all the price is reasonable, give it a try!

  • This is a nice little scope. Illuminating reticle, green or red. The zoom works well and the throw lever is a nice addition. Can’t wait to shoot this.

  • This is hard to review, the camera is really nice, powerful night vision and great recordings but the 4G of this camera was a nightmare to deal with. It was hard to get signal in the places we tried to put this, had to basically have it not near anything and in an open area for it to get any hope of a signal. Once it had signal it worked great like any of my other wifi trail cameras, I don't like the subscription terms and feel it's a bit scammy. You buy DATA but your subscription is TIME BASED and only for 30 day's at a minimum, so even though I have 20+ gigabytes in un-used data my access was disabled because the 30 day's had passed. I really dislike that, it should be based on data and not time. If I'm out of data I can't use the device but to have 20gigs of available viewing data but I can't because it's subscription based RUINS this product for me! I will not be renewing my subscription again and am left with a paper weight as you can't use anything but 4G with this device.

  • This safe has exceeded expectations. This is exactly what I was looking for in a safe. The gun holder that it comes with is very cool! The installation was very easy and straightforward. The customer service is world class. Highly recommended!

  • I already have a similar Wolf optic made by CVLIFE that has a green circle dot and when I wanted another one for my latest AR pistol build, I decided to give this model a try. What is unique about this model is the fiber optic rear backup sights, which I think is a great option for a pistol in case the battery dies unexpectedly during a shooting session. Pros: - The unit is made of a tough and durable aluminum construction throughout the housing, with angles on the shroud for impact resistance and the lens has a wide field of view. - It is very lightweight at 1.4-ounces with the battery installed, and with the picatinny mount it weighs 2.2-ounces. - It comes with a silicone or rubber protective cover, as well as a picatinny mount and Glock compatible MOS (Modular Optic System) adaptor plate, and a couple of batteries. - It is relatively easy to adjust for windage and elevation, but a flathead screwdriver is needed to do so. There are nice tactile clicks when making adjustments to the windage and elevation. - There are only two buttons, one on the port side and one on the starboard side. You must repeatedly depress either button to increase or decrease the amount of illumination. You can also turn it off from any brightness setting by pressing and holding the minus button. Lastly, pressing and holding the plus button lets you select either the circle, the dot, or both simultaneously. - There is a memory function, so when you turn on the unit from any particular brightness setting, it will resume to the last brightness setting at which you used it. - The Dot and Circle reticle can be used together or separately, making this sight very versatile for both long gun and pistol use (although it’s kind of small for long guns). - The Motion Awake Technology “shake-Awake” feature works well. After about four minutes it auto-turns off if no motion is detected to conserve battery power, but it comes on instantly with the slightest movement. Note that the unit must be turned on initially for this feature to work. - It has ten brightness settings (one of which is for night vision), and the highest setting works well on the brightest of days. - With an IPX7 waterproof rating it not only can be used in the rain, but it can be accidentally submerged in water, and it has a 1500G shockproof rating, so it can be knocked around a bit or dropped without too much fear of breakage or failure. - It has a battery life rating of up to 50,000 hours (for the lowest setting). - There are fiber optic pipets at the rear of the sight that can act as a backup sight if mounted to a pistol slide in case the electronics fail. - The feature I am most appreciative of is that you don’t have to remove the sight from the firearm to replace the battery, which is often the case for non-brand name red dot sights. Cons: - There is no lock mode that prevents the unit from accidentally being turned on during storage and transport. - Although you can access the battery compartment without removing the sight, the compartment is uneasily close to the lens, so if you are not careful, you could scratch or smudge the lens when changing out the battery. A hex wrench is also necessary to open the compartment. At least because the view window is further forward than other sights, you can insert the hex wrench the long way and not just with the short arm. Despite my minor nitpicks, at one-hundred and seventy dollars at the time of this writing, you are still getting a well-featured unit with several similar attributes to higher priced versions with a very easy to see red dot and red circle, and because of the large viewing window, I consider it a good value.
