Mounted this red dot on a 44 Magnum pistol. Took several shots to zero. Shot ten more to verify zero. The next day the pistol was accidentally dropped from a height of approximately two and a half feet. The pistol hit concrete at the twelve o’clock position of the lens housing. The impact caused the glass to crack in the upper portion of the window (crack must be between laminations of glass as the crack can’t be felt). The red dot still worked. I went to the range and verified the pistol was still zeroed. It took a substantial impact with glass damage but it did maintain zero. The housing around the window is pretty thin and I didn’t expect it would take much abuse, and I was correct. I would not recommend this red dot for a gun that may experience some abuse/rough handling but I would recommend it for a range toy that gets babied.
1 don't use the screw driver come within the kits, find yourself a better one from home depot. 2 i hope the manufacturer add some white paints to the screw holes, sometimes the black holes are hard to see. 3 prepare yourself a rubber mallet hammer, it helps when installing the top plate.
Good size 30" x 18" upper body cardboard targets. One side is brown cardboard color, the other is white. There is just a faint indentation outline to identify designated target areas. A Sharpie marker can outline the zones more clearly, and we typically will tape paper targets over a shot up cardboard target anyway to get more shots in. Comes with 4 large clips to hold target in place down range.
I very much like the design of the gun rack. The wood is thin but seems sturdy. The screws were rattling around loose in the box and was missing a few. Was pretty easy to assemble despite very little instructions with no pictures. I added four pieces of 1"x4" wood trimmed down to 1/2" thickness to match the existing wood to the back to strengthen the gun rack to my satisfaction. And I stained it with Minwax Gunstock #231 which I preferred to just the plain wood look. Overall pleased with how the gun rack came together especially after my additions.
This has multiple ways to unlock— password, key and fingerprint. Which surprised me is the emergency power charge option. Overall,it’s easy to setup and well maxed. High recommended!
This safe is a good budget-friendly safe. It can be used for more than just pistols. Cash, jewelry , passports and IDs can be secured in it. This particular safe has only 2 possible methods of designed access - by 5 digit access code or hard key. The default pssscode is 12345. When an initial code is set, the default code no longer works for good reason. I believe 10 codes could be stored. 2 AA batteries run the system including illuminating 2 blue LEDs when opened. When the battery dies, the hard key would be the only indestructive way of opening it. A metal cord is included to secure it to a fixed object. In order to affix it to the safe, the threaded end is inserted through a side hole and a cylindrical fastener is hand-tightened to it. This, to me, is a poor design because I can easily rotate the safe while pulling the cable and it will loosen. This safe would be good to keep curious individuals away in a safe environment like home. It fits compact firearms easily and full-size ones with flush magazines. As an example, A Canik TP9 SFx with red dot and 18 round magazine barely fits.
I have a few on their products 2 slx1x . 2 slx3x I do like them a lot and I’m running each wil a flip to the side mount. They are solid as they look glass is good adjustable options are smooth to use and the adjustable diopter is great. Small complaint and it’s a personal preference the diopters are all stiff to use in the beginning but they will not turn on their own or when you are really using them!!
I found what I was looking for with this safe. Very heavy duty and has 3 options to open when needed. Like the slotted style keys it came with and would have been disappointed if they gave this unit with a cheaply made key that could break. The 2 slots in the thick foam insert can be modified (cut out) to fit your particular gun/accessories. When mounting the bracket, you may want to replace the supplied generic screws and anchors with better/stronger ones. Definitely would recommend this item.
The cabinet arrived today, a couple dings on the outer box, but inner box and item were fine. Nice finish and more substantial than I expected. My initial plan was to keep on the first floor, but my wife objected to my desired placement, so my adult daughter, my wife, and I took it upstairs. We made it and my wife and I stayed married. Good news is that we could manage to get it up 17 1911 built steep stairs. The bad news is that a determined thief, given time, could get down the stairs. But that’s not why I made this purchase. Was surprised by the internal LED light. Both the fingerprinting and number key were easy to set up. The only negative is that three of us took a while to figure out how to get the cabinet opened the first time. We took the little metal plate off and used one of the big keys. Not sire if there is a better way, but it worked. One of my weapons is pretty long, about 47 1/2 inches and it easily fit. This is a very nice, secure GUN CABINET. Call it a “safe” if you want, and it does have three large locking pins. But, I am under no illusion that a determined thief could pry this off the wall or bust it open. However, I have now secured my firearms from kids’ and grandkid’s curious fingers, and added some level of deterrence to a casual, mischief causing thief. My weapons are a lot more secure than standing upright against the wall. I am very glad I moved up from the $200 - $300 price point cabinets. Very pleased with the transaction!
If you're looking for a reliable and versatile green dot sight, the Chameleon SRS8 Red Dot Sight is definitely worth considering. It offers the widest and largest field of view I have ever seen, making it easy to acquire targets quickly and accurately. Note that this reflex sight is also incredibly compact, making it an ideal option for those looking to add a red dot to their pistol slide as it's compatible with RMR or SRO footprint. The 8 MOA dot size is also perfect for this application, providing a clear and precise aiming point without obstructing too much of your field of view. This sight has a solid construction and feels sturdy and durable. It does not come with a Picatinny mounting base and can only be mounted directly to a pistol slide that has RMR/SRO compatible cutout. The sight uses a small CR1632 battery, and its battery compartment is hidden on the top side of its base, so you don't need to remove the whole sight to change it, but you'll need a small wrench, which is included. This is an excellent option for battery compartment design IMHO as you are not going to throw away your zeroing and have to re-zero it all over again when you change the battery because you don't need to remove the sight to do it! It has 10 levels of brightness. The two brightest of the 10 levels are almost indistinguishable though, but it's sort of normal for red dots. There are no IR illumination modes, so if you are planning to use it with your NV goggles, look elsewhere. I'm also missing a rubber dust cover that's usually included with such sights. Pressing the left side "+" button for 3 seconds turns the red dot ON and holding the "-" button for 3 seconds turns it OFF. In addition, it has lock mode, which prevents accidental button presses from making any changes to settings when activated, which is an excellent feature in my experience. The adjustments on this sight are also easy to make, and it comes with a small Allen wrench for making any necessary changes. The main selling point of this green dot sight is the motion wake-up feature, which is called MDS mode, or Motion Deactivated Standby in this model. It shuts off the sight after about 5 mins of inactivity and turns on immediately once you pick it up. Apparently, this feature works very well, and the sight lights up immediately as soon as I pick it up. This renders it perfectly suited for home defense situations and SHTF situations when you need to grab your weapon and be ready in seconds. If you store your firearm for a long time and want to save the battery, you can completely shut down the sight by holding the "-" button. To summarize, if you're looking for a cost-effective solution for close range target acquisition, this sight definitely works. It has a large field of view, and the lens has excellent clarity. The 8 MOA red dot sight is a particularly good way to engage close-quarters targets, evaluate target distance and track targets. I had no issues with zeroing it and it holds zero perfectly when shooting a 9mm caliber pistol round. I think it's worth the money. Bottom line: Overall, I would highly recommend the Chameleon SRS8 Red Dot Sight to anyone looking for a reliable and accurate accessory for their firearm. It offers impressive performance, solid construction, and an exceptionally wide field of view, a versatile 8 MOA red dot reticle, and an excellent shake-awake (called Motion Deactivated Standby) feature. All at a very reasonable price point. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or a beginner just starting out, this sight is definitely worth considering. The only minor concerns are absence of IR illumination modes and omission of a rubber dust cover. Despite that, this sight is by far one of the best I've used, and I do not hesitate to give it a solid 5 stars rating. Great sight for the money. Pros: 1. Solidly heavy-duty built. 2. RMR/SRO cutout pistol slide compatible. 3. Perfect for close range targets. 4. Has an awesome shake-awake feature! 5. Top loading battery compartment! 6. Crystal-clear optics. 7. Simple yet effective red dot reticle. 8. Exceptionally wide field of view. 9. Holds under heavy 9mm recoil. 10 Water and fog proof (IPX-7). Cons: 1. Does not have IR illumination modes. 2. Does not come with a rubber dust cover.
I intend to put this on a pump pellet gun (don’t judge), but the parts I needed to mount it are on back order. So I’m going to review this without mounting it. I’ll provide an update if I find anything new after I get it mounted. To start with this comes with the night vision scope, a battery, a Micro SD memory card, a USB-A to C charging cable, and a lens cloth. It also comes with instructions, but they are largely incomplete. When it arrived I installed the battery, wrong the first time, and plugged the cable in to charge it. A red light came on, which I assume meant it was charging. Several hours later the light turned green which I figured meant it was charged. Better instructions would have been nice so I didn’t have to guess if I was doing things right. After powering the unit up I hit the menu button and a small menu of options showed up on the screen. I was able to figure out how to manipulate most of the options on my own, but here again, better instructions would have helped. I also kind of expected there to be complete instructions somewhere in the menu, but there were none besides some charging pointers. Testing the scope in handheld mode I found it to be a pretty nice night vision tool. It has full color daytime mode, and of course IR night vision mode. The IR emitter is only needed when it is very dark or in total darkness. I found that moonlight was enough to see without the IR emitter. The picture on the screen is clear and the focus wheel isn’t ridiculously sensitive like many of the rifle scopes I've used. The cross-hairs on the one I received were not centered. Not even close. This is one place where the verbiage included on the instruction sheet came in handy. Moving the cross-hairs is the least intuitive thing about this scope. It’s not even that easy to do with the instructions. It also seems that moving the cross-hair is the way to sight this scope in, so success in that regard will depend on the mounting, length of barrel, etc. That being said, this scope seems to be geared more toward taking photos and videos, which is just as well as shooting at night is illegal most everywhere. It also seems that the intent is to use it along side another scope, which I see as a waste. At a maximum of 6x magnification this scope should be considered a close range option, which perfectly fits with the air gun I’m going to try it on. It would also be good for personal protection, but if you are hiding in the dark it’s probably best to just stay hidden if you can. The best part about this scope is the compact size and light weight. It helps to keep whatever you mount it on from becoming too bulky and heavy. I’m mostly going to use this scope to see what kind of critters are roaming around my place after dark. My dad has some nocturnal pests that we may use this on to pepper with a pellet or to so they are less likely to come back.
I recently purchased these night vision binoculars, and I must say, they've exceeded my expectations in every way! My kids are absolutely thrilled with them, and we've had an amazing experience using them on our recent camping trip. The crystal-clear view, even in low-light conditions, is simply stunning. We were able to observe wildlife and take in the breathtaking scenery at night, which was truly magical. And the best part? They're not just limited to nighttime use - they work equally well during the day, making them incredibly versatile. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a camper, or just someone who loves exploring the outdoors, these night vision binoculars are a must-have. They're easy to use, durable, and provide an unparalleled viewing experience. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to take their outdoor adventures to the next level!
My lenses were frosted and completely defective.
What can be said here! This thing feels solid and heavy in the hand, it feels like a real rifle. Customer service was amazing. I have a few issues loading the magazine as I am new to air rifles. They sent me 2 videos, one of which they personally made and sent. After reviewing the video it was clear that I didn't know what the heck I was doing. I got that all cleared up. This thing thumps! I had to buy a pcp pump to get air in this thing. Got a workout doing that.
Overall, it’s pretty nice quality spotting scope. It has the same issues that most cheap scopes have with little to know eye relief, and minimum zoom. I like the phone holder that came with and used it exclusively with an old cell phone to be able to glance at it. The basic tripod it comes with is everything you need to set it on a bench it’s sturdy and easy to get on target. Out to 100 yards this worked perfectly. It was easy to see the holes in the target even using the cell phone. At 200 yards, even with the phone zoomed in, it was difficult to see holes. Overall, it’s a pretty good value just don’t expect to go out to 500 yards with it.
