First of all, delivery came fast! It is so much bigger and taller than expected yet still fit in the space I have. The wooden tray is fat and heavy which is necessary to hold the weight of my husband's duty belt. He has a vest hanger already so the long hanger was perfect for his uniform pants. The tray is also big enough to hold a gun-safe along with his other gear. The best part is that the hanging metal is thicker than pictured and heavyduty as well. The only problem I had was setting up. Some holes do not align and the screw holes are made too thin for the screws given. You have to push hard to screw the screws completely on. I do not know if drilling the holes bigger would be a better idea though because it wouldn't be a tight fit to hold weight. This is definitely an amazing buy and my husband was super surprised and stoked to assemble as soon as he got it!
Monstrum is now my go-to optics brand! By now, I have extensive experience with this optics brand, so I did not hesitate while ordering this product, and I wasn't disappointed! I am super impressed with this scope. The reticle closely resembles Trijicon's BDC Segmented Circle reticle designed for use with 55gr .223 ammunition. This reticle is specifically designed for the quick target acquisition in short and medium ranges but completely useless for long range shooting IMHO. It's a high quality, very well purpose-built scope that will serve you well. Magnification can be easily adjusted between 2x and 10x by turning the ring located on the eyepiece side and it has a small lever for easier adjustments. Focus adjustment is also available on the eyepiece end of the scope, which is great, I hate it when the scope does not have it (like Russian POSPs). Eye relief and magnification rings move smoothly, which tells a lot about the build quality of the scope. Windage and elevation turrets are large, so you can do adjustments with your fingers. There is no zero stop feature on this scope, it would be nice to have it but at 100 bucks price point I surely am not complaining. Turrets are covered by screw caps for protection, which is nice, but caps do not have "leashes", so when they are removed for adjustment, it's very easy to drop or misplace these caps. Now about optics. Lens clarity is superb, very crisp and clear and I did not notice any distortions even at 10x magnification. I love the magnification range from 2 to 10, it allows me to use it for close targets and for mid- to long- range targets! For a compact scope like this it's awesome! The scope's reticle is illuminated, and you have a choice of red or green colors. I normally do not even consider a scope that does not have illumination because it greatly limits its usability, especially in dusk and nighttime. Red is great for night, green is great for day, dusk, or dawn. The reticle is etched on the glass and is very sharp. Note that illumination only lights up the central ring, not the whole reticle. On top of it, the scope is nitrogen purged and fog proof, but I did not expect otherwise. The scope comes with single-piece out-front rings, which are surprisingly good. I noticed that cheaper scopes usually of low quality include rings that I always throw away or give away and buy a new set of quality rings that might cost you as much as the scope itself. But this time I probably will keep the rings and actually use them. Monstrum makes great stuff! Pro-tip. Because the scope's reticle is fairly very simple and does not provide much elevation or windage adjustment guidance like Mil Dot, your best bet for zeroing it is to use a laser bore sighter. Just insert it into your barrel and zero your scope's crosshair on its dot. Then on a range you can finish fine-tuning your aim at 10x magnification according to the manufacturer's guidelines. This will save you tons of ammo. *** TL;DR *** Yes, I do recommend this scope to every gun enthusiast. It has ultimately crisp and clear optics, wide magnification ranges from 2x to 10x, which is perfect for close- and mid-range shooting. The reticle is a simple yet highly effective Trijicon style BDC Segmented Circle, which is perfect for quick target acquisition. All adjustments work smoothly, turrets are hidden under the cap, everything looks good. Plus, it has red and green illumination. What else do you need? For 100 bucks it is a deal you can't beat, and it even comes with a solid single-piece scope mount. Definitely a 5-star product! +++ Pros +++ 1) Very well built, rock-solid construction. 2) Wide magnification range: 2x to 10x. 3) Simple and highly effective BDC reticle. 4) Easy windage and elevation comps. 5) Fast target acquisition at 2x. 6) Long-range shooting capable at 10x. 7) Has focus adjustment. 8) Comes with lens caps. 9) Reticle is illuminated (red/green). 10) Comes with a solid single-piece mount. 11) Lifetime warranty!!! --- Cons --- 1) Turret caps have no “leashes”. 2) It's SFP, I prefer FFP.
Wasn't hard to put together. Does what it said it would do. A lot heavier then I expected, but that is good. Only shooting at about 30 feet right now. Was worth it.
I bought these goggles mainly for camping, but I live in the country so I have had a chance to test them in my back yard in near complete darkness. They are exceptional in low light and daylight conditions. The images are sharp and the zoom feature works great. I’ve used them off and on for a week now without charging the battery. I have taken a few photos and they all came out sharp and clear. The controls are easy to navigate, and the large viewing screen is definitely a plus. It came with an extensive instruction manual and I haven’t had any trouble using all the features. I read reviews and product descriptions on many of these night-vision goggles and chose these. I would put them up against any of the more expensive goggles and I’m sure these would come out on top. Highly recommend!
Bought this for my 1887 22” lever action shotgun, very high quality and looks great with the gun
I gave it a 2 rating as it was fine for the first 3 months then at the 4th month I noticed a small hiss or leak around the grip but cylinder would still last about 2 hours. The leak slowly grew and it involved the base of the rear slide and the cylinder lasted only an hour. Sent it back for warranty repair ($16 USPS my postage) and after about 4 days was returned unrepaired because it was out of warranty. The website does not say what the warranty is and if I had known I would not have bought this expensive piece of junk. The only place where its says that it has a 30 day warranty after registration is in fine print on the last page of the instruction manual. Really? You would expect that a big company like Umarex would have a little more faith in its product and warranty it for at least a year. The 30 day warranty says it all. Don't even know if this should be recycled into component pieces or just put in the trash. Why sell a product like this?
Alright, if you're looking for a reliable and versatile green dot sight, the CVLIFE WolfCovert X S01 red circle dot sight is definitely worth considering IMHO. It comes with all the necessary components you may need to mount it on your rifle's Picatinny rail or a pistol's RMR cutout. It offers a very wide field of view, making it easy to acquire targets quickly and accurately. Also, CVLIFE WolfCovert X S01 sight is incredibly compact, making it an ideal option for those looking to add a red dot sight to their pistol slide. The 3 MOA reticle size is perfect, providing a clear and precise aiming point without obstructing too much of your field of view. This sight has a solid construction and feels sturdy and durable. It comes with a Picatinny mounting base pre-installed, which can be removed, and the sight can be directly mounted to a pistol slide that has RMR compatible cutout. This provides a great deal of versatility when it comes to mounting options. The sight uses a small CR1632 battery, and its battery compartment is hidden on the top side of its base, so you don't need to remove the whole sight to change it, but you'll need a small wrench, which is included. This is an excellent option for battery compartment design IMHO as you are not going to throw away your zeroing and have to re-zero it all over again when you change the battery because you don't need to remove the sight to do it! The red dot sight comes with a protective rubber cover that you can put over it while transporting your firearm. It has 10 levels of brightness. The two brightest of the 10 levels are almost indistinguishable though, but it's sort of normal for red dots. There are no IR illumination modes, so if you are planning to use it with your NV goggles, look elsewhere. Pressing the left side "+" button turns the green dot ON and holding the "-" button for 2 seconds turns it OFF. The sight also features multiple reticles - dot, circle and circle-dot. You can easily switch between reticles by pressing and holding the “+” button for 2 seconds. Having multiple reticles is a great feature and I find it very versatile. I like dot for pistols, but if I mount it on a shotgun I’d go for circle or circle-dot. The adjustments on this sight are also easy to make, and it comes with a small Allen wrench for making any necessary changes. The main selling point of this green dot sight is the motion wake-up feature or shake-awake. It shuts off the sight after about 2 mins of inactivity and turns on immediately once you pick it up. Apparently, this feature works very well, and the sight lights up immediately as soon as I pick it up. This renders it perfectly suited for home defense situations and SHTF situations when you need to grab your weapon and be ready in seconds. If you store your firearm for a long time and want to save the battery, you can completely shut down the sight by holding the "-" button. To summarize, if you're looking for a cost-effective solution for close range target acquisition, this sight definitely works. It has a large field of view, and the lens has excellent clarity. The 3 MOA red circle dot reticle is a particularly good way to engage close-quarters targets, evaluate target distance and track targets. Thanks to multiple reticles and mounting options, it works perfectly for rifles, shotguns, or pistols. I had no issues with zeroing it and it holds zero perfectly when shooting a 9mm caliber pistol round. I think it's worth the money. Bottom line: Overall, I would highly recommend the CVLIFE WolfCovert X S01 red circle-dot sight to anyone looking for a reliable and accurate accessory for their firearm. It offers impressive performance, solid construction, and a very wide field of view, a versatile 3 MOA red circle dot reticle, and an excellent shake-awake feature. All at a very reasonable price point. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or a beginner just starting out, this sight is definitely worth considering. The only downside is no IR mode. Despite that, this sight is by far one of the best I've used, and I do not hesitate to give it a solid 5 stars rating. Great sight for the money. Pros: 1. Solid heavy-duty built. 2. RMR cutout pistol slide compatible. 3. Comes with a Picatinny rail adapter. 4. Perfect for close range targets. 5. Has an awesome shake-awake feature! 6. Top loading battery compartment! 7. Crystal-clear optics. 8. Versatile multiple reticle feature. 9. Incredibly wide field of view. 10. Holds under heavy 9mm recoil. 11. Water and fog proof (IPX7). 12. Comes with a rubber dust cover. 13. Budget friendly. Cons: 1. Does not have IR illumination mode.
I had high hopes for this scope and while it is definitely a solid scope with some nice features, it doesn’t work particularly well with my preferred setup on a tactical rifle. The main issue I ran into is that there is not enough eye relief for my liking. Even when I tried to mount it directly over my rear sight, abandoning any hope for a co-witness setup, with the stock fully extended it just wasn’t there. I collapsed the stock, uncomfortably for me, close and was able to get a full site picture. As you can see in this position it didn’t quite clear the rear sight anyway, but to get this to potentially work, I have to take off the rear sight and still, with the stock extended and the eye relief dialed all the way out, it was workable. I know a lot of people don’t even bother with iron sights anymore, so if this isn’t a consideration for you, this scope is probably an excellent choice. If you like to get up close with your optics, again, this scope will probably be perfect for you. On the other hand, if you like long eye relief on tactical scopes, the ability to co-witness if needed, you’ll likely want to look elsewhere.
Initial impression is very positive, very compact, easy to setup camera. Performance appears to be pretty good. My major criticism thus far is that only one mounting bracket is supplied with the unit (minus one star). One can pretty much forget the supplied strap if one wants to mount the camera at a specific angle or position. Therefore if one uses the supplied bracket for the camera, one has to purchase a separate bracket for the solar panel. The WiFi connection is a bit slow however its range appears to be pretty good. Having the ability to monitor exactly where the camera is pointing during installation is great. So is the ability to operate / monitor several identical trail cameras using the same app. Being able to view the pictures / videos taken remotely from an iPhone or iPad without having to handle (and potentially risk loosing the micro SD card) is a definite highlight. One can quickly browse through the pictures and videos and only download what's relevant. A minor criticism concerns the solar panel USB cable which is my opinion much too short. Having had the camera for only a few days, I can't comment on its long term performance, durability or reliability however I would definitely not go back to a more conventional trail camera without WiFi. To be continued... After several months, I am still happy with the performance of the camera (I own 3 of them). The solar panel has maintained the batteries fully charged throughouts. As mentioned in my initial review the mounting hardware was a big disappointment and has continued to disappoint. The metal bracket is total junk. Per attached picture all the mounting brackets look the same and are thoroughly corroded although the cameras are not being used in a marine environment. I guess the manufacturer has not yet heard of stainless steel!
I almost never write reviews but when I tell you, this is one well constructed, easy to assemble and LOADS OF FUN product, believe me! I’m so ready to enjoy with friends and family.
These night vision goggles are seriously fun to use and surprisingly effective for nighttime visibility. While the lens is quite narrow and not great for close-up objects, it really shines in pitch-black environments—we were able to clearly make out objects 30 feet or more away with no trouble at all. The photo and video features were a nice bonus. Capturing video and images isn’t our main use case, but the camera worked as advertised and delivered better-than-expected image quality from the screen. If your main goal is simply to see in the dark, this device absolutely gets the job done—and at a very reasonable price. The goggles come with a built-in 5000mAh rechargeable battery, which adds to the convenience. We plan to keep ours near the door to check out activity in the fields and forest behind the farm where we spend time. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly way to improve nighttime visibility—whether for security, wildlife spotting, or general curiosity—this is a totally serviceable and fun tool to have around.
Its very easy to setup. The targets are thick enough and seem to stand up well using several different calibers. But the cables holding the targets will not hold up using higher caliber weapons. The impact severed the cables I went to a hardware store and purchased Chain and bolts to reinstall the targets to the frame. It would of been cheaper in the long run to purchase a simular item sold on ngclab.com that has the targets held by chain
Its super loose and I haven’t figured out how to tighten it and its super small on my torso, I’m 5’10” and it only goes down to about my mid torso. It also broke when I tried to pull the bottom latch which that is what its meant for…. For $100 its not terrible considering the name brand plate carriers are double or triple the cost. Still, I would like a solution to my broken bottom latch and how to adjust it if even possible. Thank you.
Just received my order in the mail. Box appears to be made very hefty, to include an internal gasket for the lid that looks well made. Box has a nice latch for use with external lock. My only complaint is the interior dimensions are not as advertised. Doesn't change my use for it however, I can see how it might effect some. See pics.
