This is a marvelous red dot scope that provides exceptional shooting performance on the range. It is ultra-high quality and easy to sight in and use. This is a new design with changes to the caps that cover the elevation, windage and battery compartments. There are some good and some bad changes. The keeper strap is also changed for this newer design. The elevation and windage caps are now the same ones that they put onto the military Aimpoint versions. The caps are slotted and easy to remove using simply a coin like a quarter to tighten them down or to remove them. The three legged rubber style keeper strap is gone and there are smaller rubber keeper straps connected to the windage and elevation caps so that when you remove them they simply lay to the side while you make your adjustments and this is a nice change. Again I just used a quarter. The battery compartment cap is also changed with a knurled edge so you can unscrew it easily but there is no retaining strap at all. I was so upset I called Aimpoint and they told me that no one ever loses their battery cap cover. This is BS and I can see people at the range, outdoors or in the military losing the cap and thus the Aimpoint Pro sight is no longer working. Heck I tightened the battery cover pretty tight and after 200 rounds it was loose just from gun vibration. This is a flaw IMHO of their design and they probably saved a nickel. It needs a strap and that is my only complaint about the scope. This is an expensive piece of hardware and it needs a security strap on the battery cover.
I looked at Eotech and Aimpoint and I went with Aimpoint because I liked the quality better. The red dot is a 2 MOA red dot and it allows for precise targeting. Even when using a 3X multiplier the dot is still small and it doesn’t occlude your target downrange while you are shooting. I love that the included battery has a battery life of 3 years if left on all the time. That is on level 7 which is good for most shooting conditions. That is amazing. It is designed for law enforcement and even many military people use it as it is always ready. Grab your rifle and lift it up to your eye and the sight is always on. The red dot has 10 levels of brightness and at 9 and 10 you can get some red feedback into the scope. The bottom four levels are designed for use with night vision optical devices. Level 7 is shown on the rheostat dial with a white dot that aligns up with a white dot on the battery compartment. (See my video)
The scope comes with flip up front and rear covers. The rear cover has clear center so you can use the scope with the cover down but the front scope is solid black plastic. Are your ready for some magic? Grab your rifle and sight through it with both covers closed. Yes closed! Sight down field with both eyes open as you should always do. Your right eye sees the red dot on the inside back cover of the scope and your left eye sees down field the target and the red dot is super imposed onto the target. How is that done? Your mind transfers the red dot position into your field of vision and it is dead on accurate. Even with the lens cap closed the sight works! In battle, police situations and home defense you may not remember to turn on a red dot or flip up the covers. With the Aimpoint Pro the sight is already on and you can shoot with the covers down! I can’t show this in my video but it works perfectly! This allows for very fast sighting of a target even if you forget to open the lens caps and turn the unit on (As it should be always left on).
The sight comes with a high quality mount that has a large tool-less tightening knob on the side for your mounting to your gun’s rail. The knob is torque-limiting and as you pick the location on your rail that you want to use and then tighten the knob until it clicks 3 times and it is tight. After 200 rounds at the range I turned the knob and it easily clicked again so after a lot of use you should check the tightness of the scope.
In my video I flip up my Vortex 3X scope and I sight through the rear lens cap when it is down. The scope has very nice lens caps on it and they are spring loaded and a little push and they pop up. The Aimpoint has no magnification and it is ideal to co register with your iron sights. In my case I mounted a Vortex 3X scope on the rail and I don’t have enough space for a Magpul flip up sight. With the scope flipped up the Aimpoint is ideal for close combat with easy target acquisition. With the scope down you are deadly accurate with your shots at long range. At 25 and 30 yards I was shooting 5 shot patterns within a ¾ of an inch spread while standing up with my one arm resting on the bench top at a range. I was shocked. I show this in my video.
This is mill spec quality. The lenses are recessed for protection and to avoid getting finger prints on them. The lenses are optically coated and the internal space is purged and filled with inert dry gas to prevent fogging of the lens on the inside. It is also waterproof to 150 feet of submergence. I won’t go swimming with my rifle but it is nice to know that the rain will not bother the red dot sight.
Before I went to the range I used my SightMark laser cartridge and sighted in the Aimpoint scope. That gets me on the paper. At the range it was then easy to sight into the bull’s eye and maintain tight patterns in my shooting. In my video I show the red dot on level 7 settings and on level 10. I also show my working targets from the range.
This is an excellent product with superior performance for me. I am 65 years old and shot those targets standing up. The Aimpoint sight made all of the difference and I recommend it highly. I rated it at 5 stars.
I liked this optic so much that I went back and purchased a second one for another rifle. I would only own one of two different optics and this is one of my top two choices based on my shooting experiences. I love the battery reliability and the ruggedness of the sight design. I shoot indoors and outdoors and I like how it does not fog up easily due to temp changes.
I haven’t even had to change the battery yet as the battery life is so good. It was easy to install and easy to sight in for great shooting accuracy.
The mount is solid and stable and I only occasionally tighten it after shooting several hundred rounds. The accuracy has not varied at all since I have installed it and shot it at the range multiple times. This device is rugged, accurate and stable. It is a top quality sight.
The accuracy of the sight has not varied regardless of whether I am shooting indoors, where it is warm, or outdoors in cold weather.

そこで、目をつけたのがAimpoint PRO(patrol Rifle Optic)です。
