   Great KYL target rack for the money. Everything was well packaged and box came with everything needed to build the target rack (minus pipes). There were no instructions other than a simple line printed on the box “recommend to use 1 inch pipes.” This is not correct. Ask me how I know. You will need 15 feet of 3/4″ pipe. You can pick it up for around $20 bucks at your local Lowes or Home Depot in the electrical section. Assembly was easy enough with some hand tools and since there were no instructions, here is how I built mine. (build takes about an hour) Required: – 15 feet of 3/4″ steel pipe (Lowes sells 10′ and 5′ sections) – Tape measure – Drill – 1/4 drill bit – Center punch (This may not be required, but for the amount of holes you have to drill, not having your drill bit slip all over the place is worth the couple buck you’d spend to buy one) – Angle Grinder or Hacksaw – 10mm socket and wrench. – Pencil Optional – Vice (makes things easier when drilling and cutting) Step 1. Cut your 10′ pipe section into 4, 30″ pieces (these are the legs) Step 2. Cut your 5′ pipe section down to a MINIMUM of 32 inches (any less and you risk the legs holders not having enough room to sit on this cross section piece) Step 3. With your 32″ cross section piece, dry fit all of the black spacers and targets, alternating spacer, then target. leaving 2 inches of cross section pipe on either side of the black spacers (spacers should be squeezed together to fit tightly.) Step 4. Using a pencil, mark the ending spacers to reference when putting back together, then mark the cross section pipe using the holes in the black spacers. (again, there should be at least 2 inches of pipe stick out from the ends of the black spacers, make sure the spacers and targets are squeezed together, but not so tightly that the targets do not swing freely) Step 4.1. To mark the holes for the legs, use a tape measure and make a mark on the 30″ leg pipes 1 1/2″ down from the end of the pipe. Step 5. Using your center punch, make a small punch mark in the center of all of your pencil marked spots on all legs and cross section pipe. Step 6. Time to drill. Using your drill and 1/4″ bit, drill through the pipes using the center punch marks on all pipes. Step 7. Re-assemble the spacers and targets on the cross section pipe. Using a 10mm sock and wrench, insert and tighten the included bolts through the black spacers and cross section pipe (remember to alternate spacer then target). Step 8. Insert leg pipes onto target leg mounts, with drilled hole side up, then insert and secure the leg clips. Congrats! You have now completed building your target stand!
