   This is a high quality key and digital number password locking small gun or valuables safe that has a biometric option for added security. It is rather heavy weighted carbon steel for it’s size, with a strong spring steel mechanism. It might be very difficult to break into from my perspective. Be cause of the weight I think a thief might think twice before a ” snatch and grab” of this safe. At night backlit button makes password entry easier. “Inside case” light has reasonable brightness in order to see safe contents. Has USB charging with displayed time and battery level. I would recommend this as a high quality value priced safe.

   Very pleased with the quality of this gun safe. Very easy to set up the biometrics and pass codes. The safe is designed
   to allow quick access while protecting the curious from harm. The cable provided to secure safe to an immoveable object does seem easy to defeat and the battery case is little tricky to open. The orientation of the batteries can only be determined with a mirror or by blindly probing the battery box to determine polarity. Hint. The springs felt in this box are the negative end on the battery. Recommend setting up 3 or so fingerprint positions per finger when loading the biometric patterns. This will help open the safe during challenging circumstances. The unit recognizes up to 100 settings. I tested the biometric switch dozens of times to assure reliability. The safe is aesthetically pleasing and I am comfortable that my pistol is stored responsibly.

   After hunting around for a compact gun safe upgrade, I landed on this one mainly for the fingerprint feature. Been using it for a few weeks and overall pretty impressed with what you get for the money. Space-wise, it’s perfect for my needs – easily fits two firearms with room to spare for some extra mags. The build quality feels substantial, and the biometric scanner works reliably about 90% of the time (which is better than most I’ve tried in this price range). Here’s the weird quirk though – the keypad only goes up to 6. Yep, you read that right – no 7, 8, or 9. Kind of throws you off if you’re like me and had a specific PIN in mind using those numbers. Not exactly a deal-breaker, but definitely limits your combination options and feels like an odd corner to cut on an otherwise well-thought-out safe. Despite this limitation, it’s still a solid choice if you’re mainly planning to use the fingerprint access. The construction is sturdy, interior is well-padded, and it does its main job of securing firearms reliably.

   It is sturdy, easy to program, and works well. The opening mechanism is plenty fast. Right out of the box it didn’t want to open, but once I got it open the first time, it hasn’t had any more problems. It has two holes in the bottom for mounting and multiple size screws. It’s large enough to fit two handguns or one full size and a light or something like that. Definitely a must have if you have kids. You can’t beat it for the price.

   Update: After a few months it became very unreliable at opening. It seems like you need to use WD40 on the latch mechanism and springs regularly in order to keep it functional.

   This was a good value for what you get. I didn’t pay attention that it required batteries, so that’s my fault. I am a little bummed about that but it’s fine. It isn’t too heavy, which is great to travel but it’s easy to steal, however you can anchor it to a wall so that’s a nice option. It has good sound and fingerprint quality. I do like the design. It’s easy to use. I wouldn’t purchase if you were super worried about theft, but we purchased for child safety more than anything and it is perfect for that. It can fit two pistols in it.

   I’ve only had it set up for about a week. It is plenty big enough for 2 guns, but 4 would be tight except for smallest pocket models. I was able to place a Glock 9mm and a 6″ barrel revolver inside with an extra clip and ammo but was tight. The fingerprint function works perfectly so far and opens the lid within half a second. I test it several times a day and the battery is still at full capacity. Other people can’t open it without registering their prints. We tried several times and it would not allow access. Fairly heavy gauge vault. Super easy set up and use.

   It was a tight fit for a compact and sub compact pistols but it works! Listing pictures made it look bigger even with the measurements. Hoping I can store other personal essentials but after loading it with my 2 pistols and mags, there’s not much space left. As far as quality and functionality, it’s all what the description and reviews say. For the price, I think it’s right on the money. It’s got some heft but it won’t win awards in toughness. Good deterent but bad actors can and will get inside if they really want to. For safety, it’s as good as it gets offering multiple ways to unlock it. Easy set up with both software and hardware unlocking options. I appreciate the quick response using biometrics and ability to register many fingerprints accurately. The spring loaded lid pops up instantly with every successful fingerprint recognition. Glad my preferred 6 digit key falls with in the limited 1-6 key pad but if your preferred key contains numbers 7-0 you’ll have to rethink of a different PIN that only contains 1-6. Other than that I think this item is designed and built well and serves its purpose of gun safety.

    Just what I was looking for, a portable safe that is easy to set up. Not sure it would fit 4 pistols unless they were all very compact. Only caveat is the safety cable is a little fiddly to install. In order to loop it around something you then need to unscrew the blunt end of the cable, insert into the case, then put the screw back on.
