   This camera is quite bad. The quality of videos/photos during the day is quite good. However, the night view is terrible. The app is so slow that is close to impossible to look at the pictures that were previously taken, and it takes forever to load the video. The solar panel is not charging the camera. It’s barely keeping the camera surviving a few days. The device is so slow that it’s impossible to watch the live feed so what is the goal of having camera where you can watch live feed that if you’re not able to watch it. I would not recommend. I messaged Reolink to see if there is a solution.

   I’ve owned Reolink cameras for 3 years now and each reason I have to check my cameras I always buy a new one for a different location on my property. I’m up to 6 now and they all work great. The only thing better than the cameras is the customer service. The little problems that I’ve had they have always went above and beyond to help them check in a few days later to see if everything is still working great.
   Building a second home you know I’ll be back to buy more cameras.

   It does not work. If I reset it to factory specifications, it will start, then shuts off after 30 seconds. Not a good camera. Buy something else!!!

   I recently installed these on a property. I am very impressed with the clarity of the 4k video but also the speed of the camera. Being able to control the camera is awesome. The sound quality is really good as well. I have had no problems so far, set up was easy as well. I recommend this camera for anyone who doesn’t have a wired or wifi network in the area. The cellular has been working great and I have had no issues streaming the video on my phone via the app. The notifications have been prompt and detection of a car, animal or person is really good.

    The camera seemed ok when I first set it up, doesn’t seem to be able to handle a larger capacity memory card, it includes a 32GB card. Picture quality is very good, decent features. Response time to rotate camera angle is very slow, seemed to work well in only clockwise direction, would not accept inputs to turn left, only right. I had to rotate 360 degrees to find my aim point. Biggest problem is it died after three days. Luckily I staged it in my yard for a few days to test before installing on my lot in the back woods. I’m going to order another one, hopefully it was just a dud. Then again, Chinese-made quality so expectations were low to begin with.

    Hung one camera in June and it was dead by July. Full sun and went from 100% charge to battery warning to disconnected in 24 hours a month after installing.

    2nd camera is DOA. Connects to LTE network on startup but never connects with the app.

    Great concept, terrible execution.

    I purchased this camera for outdoor monitoring of my property where WiFi was not available, but an AT&T tower was near by giving me a strong network connection. Initially, I had trouble activating and setting up an APN on a new SIM card that I also purchased for this camera. Once I verified that the SIM card was activated, I installed it into a the camera. The camera refused to connect to the AT&T network once I installed the SIM into the camera. I then spent a few days working with Reolink support via email. Reolink support was extremely helpful and they helped me work through my issues. It turned out that the new SIM card I purchased was the problem and not the camera. Once I replaced the SIM, the camera worked just as advertised. This is the ninth Reolink camera I have purchased and I have been happy with all of the various solar Reolink cameras I have tried.

    My son helped me put this camera up and set up the app, but he said I could have easily done it myself. It was pretty easy to go on the app and there were many videos online that had information for questions I might have had, sometimes I like to be shown how to do something or see how someone else is doing it instead of reading a manual. Well, my son still would have had to climb up and mount it on that tree. There was direct mounting hardware to screw the camera and solar panel into the tree, but we opted for using the strap so I can move it later. The straps were long enough to go around that pretty big tree. We used a sim card from our cellular provider and it connected easily. The app is pretty straight forward too. I’m still piddling with it, but it doesn’t take long to get the basics down pat. I can get notifications on my phone when anything or anybody comes in range – about 30 feet. I can also scan on live view, but there seems to be a bit of a lag in using the controls to scan up or down or the full side to side view. That could be because of my signal. I like being in the house and going to live view to see what is out there. My son said it will be great when they can come out with a camera that actually follows movement, but I’m satisfied with what it can do now. The pictures it takes are pretty clear, even in low light, like the truck picture. The night video is ok, not as crisp as I would like, but it is better in close up.
